Karate Kick the Sissy Out of Your Son: Gay Panic as Advertising

In what has to be the most offensive ad campaign I've seen in a long time, Key Biscayne's Academy Of Martial Arts RDCA in Florida has decided the best way to sell their karate classes is to use gay panic.

The print ads, created by ad agency Zubi, feature young boys doing "feminine things" like wearing their mother's high heels or playing with make-up. The cure for this "shocking" behavior and the best way to "man up" your obviously burgeoning queer kid?

As someone whose parents tried to beat me to make me a man, I can say that all this achieves is to make the child frightened and very confused.

We can only hope schools and health has moved on somewhat and will not treat such frightened little boys in the way they were in my child hood generation.

Just what we need adults teach kids to be bullies.

That's completely disgusting. How could ANYONE think that's okay?

This is just sick...you won't "make a man" out of anyone this way. All you'll do is create an emotionally handicapped child with a suicide risk...

I just checked out their facebook wall...

Seems like these ads never printed and were never approved.

But they were leaked somehow. Seems like more of the attacks should be directed to the Ad agency Zubi than to the martial arts studio.
