Well..... I went to see Dr Curtis

I have to say as I walked up to wimpole st i hadn't felt so nervous since my finals. But he was warm, welcoming and above all sensible. It feels so good to have told another human being, to have spoken to someone. As I said "I have felt for many years I am female on the inside and I want to become a woman" I knew it was true. This, of course, opens it's own can of worms but I have to say I have come away feeling remarkably positive - maybe I'm still on an adrenaline high :) I hope to start regular counselling with Sharon Fillingham from transhealth shortly.

I understand that whatever happens this is the start of a journey for me and that the next major issue is breaking things to my wife.

It does, however, feel great to have taken this step.

Thank you again for reading my prattle,

Laura
