Hi all

Hope someone can help a would be writer.

I am writing a story about 2 teenage girls who used to be boys. I planned for them to go on holiday to Goa and wondered if there would be problems with passports (issued as boys) if they travelled in their new persona's although I guess I get can them to go in casual cloths if necessary and change when they arrive. However in another scene the older of the two has a chance to go to Belgium via Euro star with her boyfriend (who knows her position). Again what would UK and European border agency say about this?

I want the stories to be realistic and I am sure I will have many other questions. Thanks for any advice.

Not sure about Goa.

The UK will need to verify they are who they claim, but generally wouldn't be too fazed about clothing.

Belgium is so laid back, it's wonder they even wake up. The friendliest people I've ever met anywhere. But only ever speak English there. Flemish people don't tend to react very well to French, (and the other way round), so English is a safer bet. Almost everyone speaks English as in the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

What would be the best way of doing that?

If its set in the current age...

And they be flying..... with the amount of uber terrified terrorism pre boarding palaver....

You bet if you don't tally with the paperwork you won't be going....

I only ventured abroad when I had a passport to confirm my new gender.... then all was tickety-boo....pre this would have been a disaster....

What people do when they've arrived at a destination...is anyone's guess?

But if going abroad, then security is the bane of an regular int traveller's commute....

I believe there are issues now with the body-scanner bit in the UK.... devout muslim women and I guess pre-op TG's... would feel vulnerable...so I guess would need special treatment?
