that's crazy, I have at least 5 plain white long sleeved t-shirts. If you weren't in a different country I could point you in the right direction :P
a lot of things cross border boundaries anyway. ideas? [i like to be able to wear long sleeves when it's *almost* warm but still chilly. *no temp tolerence whatsoever*]

Guys' clothes needn't be boring.  One can grasp the opportunity and be a fop and a dandy.  In past eras, men were peacocks and loved ostentatious clothing.  The same can be done now.
hahaha. True. The idea of attracting a mate lending into humans :P
Too bad that gets you labled gay today =\ sucks

whatever do US business men wear these days?  They don't dress down all week now do they?
not to be rude, but I'm talking about tshirts, not dress shirts. i can't wear a dress shirt under a tshirt can I now? [well.. suppose i could but...]

I was thinking primark or any one of the supermarkets that does clothing. Like asda or tescos. Asda was bought by walmart so maybe they have the same stuff? I have no idea :P

For any scrawnier guys, Urban Outfitters has loads of XS and S button down shirts that actually fit right, and Levi jeans are great

I tend to wear mostly black, with the occasional colourful t-shirt.
Grey-brown-green-khaki cargo pants, a black hoodie and a t-shirt. Black socks, black sandals or black boots depending on weather and where I am. It might sound really dull, but I am pretty dull.

When I was a child, mother kept buying me these very colourful clothes. I prefered the sombre tones of boys' clothes, plus the cooler patterns and prints. Dinosaurs on t-shirts! Spiderman on jackets! And no pink sequin hearts anywhere!

I highly approve of this advice.  Urban Outfitters are the dogs.  As are bd shirts and Levis.  Well done that man!   ;)

OIC  I like long sleeve tees cos I dress them up a bit by making stencils with a potato and then use textile paints for colour.  I prefer floral motifs though.  Maybe if I did gun or beer motifs the tees would look male.

Walmart and JC Penny have several styles.
I personally like bright in your face colors and theres a lot of mens shirts that are bright and colorful. The skinny jeans are kinda popular where I live but im a little to plump.
I stick with sweats most the time or shorts.

So, I was thinking that the objection seems to mostly be the cut/construction of men's shirts and how there is not a lot of variety there. Compared to women's shirts/tops, at any rate. I remember some shops I'd go into where there was much more variety as far as the cuts of men's clothing, but yeah if you go to any mainstream source (Macy's, Gap, A&F) it's going to be fairly mainstream.

Google 'shrine clothing' and look at some of their men's shirts, just as an example. There's more variety in design/shape there.

Oh yeah, Shrine :) I gotta give anyone who sells capes props. Oh and pirate vampire shirts :)

Here's some other "alternative" type online shops if you happen to be looking for something like that (rock'n'roll, punk, goth, emo, mod, steampunk, indie, etc. etc.)

No ways.. so exciting!

But then again I'm a fan of tshirts and hoodies and shorts/jeans.. but so many designs and colors. I love WEst 49 and other skate shops.

Fedoras are pretty sexy too. Nevermind that I look like an idiot in this pic O_O

Also like going for the old school T's with Mighty Mouse or the Ghostbusters etc. on it.

i know a guy who shops seemingly exclusively at urban outfitters
and he looks snazzy 100% of the time
takes some skill to pull it off though, i don't know many who can.

As far as jackets go, which can be hard to find especially if youre lacking in the shoulder area, i found this one that fits perfect, which i have pretty broad shoulders but not extremely. i love mens outer wear, hoodies and jackets.

I always liked men's clothing I don't find it boring at all especially with ties and hats. I love getting a really stylish hat. :P

Kinda stuff I wear:

Love those Shrine clothes!  Too bad they don't sell my size but I've got a pair of black jeans I'm thinking of modding to look like the industrial chain pants.  That's one problem I have, is finding cool stuff in my size.  And I thought it was hard to find decent clothes in women's plus size.  ::)

Shoes ... we've only kind of touched on shoes in this thread. What are guys with small feet to do? Thankfully tennis shoes are pretty much unisex at this point and you can get small sizes but what about other styles? I've wanted an awesome pair of boots for a long time. The only ones I can find to fit (besides Doc Martins, which I do have a pair of) are in the women's section. How about other non-athletic shoes? What have you guys found out there?

Oh and p.s. for those of you in the U.S. and nearby a Target, they're having a pretty good sale at the moment.

I have small feet, size 6.5 US (size 39 EU), and I have had good luck shopping at Zappos.com.   They have a decent and varied selection for my size and they ship fast too.

i mainly just wear vans & converse because they're unisex so not difficult to find in my size (also ~6.5.) i was kind of curious about boots too, though, but i think i'd be cool with docs.

I'm only a size 4, I tend to stick to the kids section, they have pretty awesome shoes anyway. I can buy shoes from the disney store...this amuses me greatly :P

I have small feet (US Mens 5... and that's after T growth - I used to be a 4) and it's a right pain to buy shoes in the mens section. I have better luck in the boys.

My favorite pair of shoes is my workboots. They came free with my uniform, but I love them so much wear them on my days off, too :). They are a pair of high topped Baxter Thermolites. Very industrial, sturdy, comfortable, and look great (but they are sized HUGE. I needed a 4). Look a little like sci-fi combat boots :).

I think Doc Martins are overrated. I've had mine 14 years, yeah, and they've held up ok... but they're just not that comfortable. And they were overpriced back then...nowerdays they're just ridiculous. Much like Converse chucks, really - you're paying for the style not comfort.

But seriously - just go to the boys section. That's where you find mens shoes in smaller sizes, and it's normally a good bit cheaper. Sure, you feel like pedobear (well, I did) and it's a kick to the ego - but hey - it's not like you're going to be arrested or anything. If anyone gives you weird looks, lift up your pant leg and wiggle your unusually small foot at them .
