Have you gotten hips from HRT?

I almost afraid to ask the question after the breast question I ask yesterday. https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,82738.0.html
But here goes anyway. Did or are your hip enlarging on HRT?
I mean are you getting more curvy?
When did it start happening?
I do not have any new fatty deposit on the hips after 8 months.
I'm still straight as can be down their. I would love to have some curves.
Thanks,
Jillieann

Have you had your e and T levels checked recently honey?

I have gotten a bit more curvey. My hips have not grown but my theighs have gotten a little bigger. My waist is much more noticable too. Combine that with the upper body getting smaller and my little boobs I do have some curves. I've always had a fairly good butt. My stomach seems to have changed a little bit, has a more fem curve to it.

Nicky I'm in my late fifties and I was told to not expect to much.
I now have fairly nice B cup breasts and am please with the softer skin.
I've have lost the male sent and now if I have showered recently I get a female smell.
All to say I believe my hormone levels are good.
I had the spiro  up about a month ago.
But thank you for being concerned.
Oh wow Dee you look good.
Maybe someday I can look half as good.

Looking back, fat redistribution was agonizingly slow but by about 2 years I was starting to be really happy with my butt and thighs (especially inner  thighs.) I think that, at least for me, the unintentional weight gain over the course of HRT was very beneficial to my appearance. There's less around my upper waist now but what was there seems to have migrated down to my hips. As a result, my butt looks awesome in a pair of low-rise jeans.

I've heard it said that if you want curves, you take off as much weight as you can BEFORE you go on HRT, and then eat with a "healthy" appetite when you're on it.  Makes sense to me.  I've got a bunch of months to go yet, I think, before I'll be on HRT, so I'm definitely planning on losing as much as I can in the meantime...

My body has stuck lots of fat onto my abdomen particularly my bum but other regions to however no change in bone hip structure. this gives me a 1:1 hip to shoulder ratio.

I have got very small adolescent curves because I appear to have lost muscle and fat from my midsection.

The hips we are used to seeing in mature GGs are from bone structure with a little padding from female fat.  Once you've physically matured, your bones stop growing.  HRT will not affect bone structure after maturity.  The growth plates fuse around the age of 25.

But you can always have some gains through fat deposits.  What you gain and where you gain it will depend on your DNA.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

3 months into HRT sometimes I wake up with the feeling that my waist bones are poking at my skin from the inside, and the spot feels a little numb or warm. I can't be sure if that's what it is, if there's someone with more knowledge of skeletons what do you think?? :D

Fat accumulation around my butt and hips has been much slower too, but then I lost weight overall since I started. I need to eat more pizza and cake!!!

I have noticed that my hips have gotten bigger -- especially after SRS. I know a few people who have experienced the same; however, that's not the case with everyone.

I have decent curves, which I'm thankful for.

Hips?  No.  I've gained 15 pounds since starting HRT 16 months ago.  Most of it has gone to my butt, thighs, and lower belly (the pooch), with a little to my cupcake breasts.  My waist is only marginally bigger than it was 15 pounds ago, but I'm about ready to try taking the extra weight off to trim the waist if I can.  (Or at least firm it up. :P)

I lost 65 pounds just before going on HRT and I got very skinny. In the year and a half since then I've put back on 20 pounds which has all gone to my butt, belly, and breasts. I definitely have a bigger backside than when I started but as Julie said, it's all padding not bone structure. The biggest thing I noticed was developing a feminine waistline as the vertical male build on my sides slid down and merged into my hips, creating curves. I definitely think that losing all that weight before HRT made it easier to acquire it back in the right places.

I was lucky enough to be graced with female hip bone structure, so hips have never been an issue with me.  I have a number of friends not as lucky and they have seen some padding develop from HRT.  I've also seen some optical illusion tricks used to help in that area.  For example, one friend wears her belts with the buckle to the side which broadens the profile of the hip area.

Oh wow!
Answers are all over the board.
Well at least that gives me some hope.
I have a nice butt but just really bony thighs.
Thinking about my sister they are very curvy so maybe over time.

Lies.

Ok, I'll cheer people up instead :)

You'll look wonderful! Your hips will probably not grow much but with the right cloths you can get some balance. No need for tricks unless you are very unlucky I guess. Your dream is possible! And I hope you will all achieve it, It will be great and even if not soon, one day we will all be able to do it :)

P.S. I don't think I look terrible but I surely have quite a bit of muscle to lose at my arms (which is odd as I was always a couch potato), a bit narrow hips and a bit wide shoulders. I hope to fix it somehow sometime. Otherwise I am quite happy with how I look and hope we can all achieve perfection and be who and what we are.

I am afraid of hurting people who are in worse position than I am and I don't want to show as bragging or showing off . But if instead it inspires people to feel they can achieve their wishes, then go sure. Things can improve, A LOT. they might not be perfect, as I said - I have stuff I WANT to be fixed, I might get them fixed one day, but good luck to us all :)

Good googly moogly!  Is that you, Myself?    Looking great girl. :D

I don't think my hips have gotten any wider, but I was lucky enough to start with hips about as wide as my shoulders.  My errr ... backside, on the other hand, has gotten quite a bit fuller and affects my hip measurement.  I look pretty good in size 8 boot cut jeans ;)

Oh, and I agree with Janet, you look fantastic Myself!
