Almost immediately after i discovered there was actually a woman driving this body, I awoke from the manly funk and depression and I began to diet and exercise, because if I am planning to do any bodily modifications or even fit into pretty clothing I needed to lose weight. Seriously. I quickly found a diet regimen and some online dieting tools ( I use livestrong because it had easy to use tools that I could quickly update throughout the day.) I could keep a diary of all of my intake, calculate calories and nutrition and (since I am diabetic) track my blood sugar readings. I researched proper portion sizes and got a good feel for how much "1 serving" really is. (not that i always eat just one, but if I'm counting portions I need to know how much). I would focus on reducing carbs and keeping fed through higher protein intake. I also would supplement one meal per day with a meal replacement shake. (Glucerna chocolate shake). I would take a multivitamin, vitamin C, flaxseed oil and a green tea "fat burner" supplement.
I also found exercises that could help achieve some feminization of my body without accentuating anything mascuilne, and built a routine around them. My only equipment is a bike for cardio, 6 foot closet dowel, yoga mat (and eventually I'll get some 3lb wrist/ankle weights, once I'm more in shape.)
So about a month ago I began my diet, supplement and exercise routine. To kick it off I did a 10 day cleanse just to get things "moving" since I had been very inactive. I also took it easy on the exercise (and still do) while my body adjusts to actually being used in this manner.
My baseline measurements when I began 8/5/10
I am 6'1"
Starting out I was
44.2 BMI ~41% Body fat, ~335 pounds. 19.5" neck, 56" abdomen/female waist.
Today 9/8/10 (yay) i measured
40.9 BMI ~38.5% Body fat, ~310 Pounds, 18.5" neck, 53" abdomen/female waist.
That's ~4 pounds a week and an average reduction of about 6% of the old me! Eating almost 3000 calories a day.
Today I reset my goals and calculators to my new measurements and will be charting a similar caloric (and hopefully mass) reduction over the next month (2000-2400/day target now). My goal is to eventually at least get my waist/abdomen to be at least smaller than my 49" hips!! Once I get closer to my own hourglass figure of a 44 inch waist I will start to increase my calorie intake so I can taper off and lose a more reasonable reduction per week, coasting into my target of ~200 pounds. (According to the BMI calcuators my ideal weight is more like 165... we'll see.)
Jenn said she'd be mad at me if I wound up wearing a smaller dress size than her....
Anyway I was excited about the progress and am motivated for the next 30 days!!
