Kellsie

Well went to the endo for my one year checkup and just got the results back from my labs, my estradiol level is 92.2pg/ml and my t-level is 1.3ng/ml or 114ng/dl.  I am waiting to see if he wants to also prescribe progesterone as part of my anti-androgen estradiol regimen.  I have also never been so embarrassed in all my life, I mean I show up to my appt. and I am dressed as Kellsie and yet still get called in by my male name, granted I have not changed my name legally but there is a note in my file that says to address me as maam and as Kellsie.  The office was packed and boy all I could do was hold my head up and walk in proud.  I felt so humiliated.

Is it just me or is there a lack of female endo's as I feel really awkward having a male endo.  He even had me drop my undies to feel my twins, ewwww and tells me he is considering progesterone as my ewww (twins) have not gotten small enough and I am still able to be aroused.  I should not be able to function by now according to him.  I find having a male endo to be a little uncomfortable however he is the only one at the office I go to.  Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience?  I also told him I am considering an Orchi!  I just despise my male genitals and would hack them of with a hacksaw if I were not so concerned about having a properly looking and functioning female genitalia.  Not to mention the pain.

I am soo thankful for all the love and support here at Susans, and for everyone else that has given their advice.  Love you all.
Smile, everyone will wonder what you are up to.

Yeah... I've definitely had similar experiences. Eerily similar. Sometimes the office staff forgets and uses your given name vs. chosen name, other times it can be intentional for whatever messed-up reason. If you correct them and it happens again, you'll have your answer.

I also have a male endo and he's also a fan of the top to bottom exam. Are you on 1 or 2 anti-androgens? I've done a fair amount of research on progesterone, and the downside outweighs the upside for me. I plan on having BA surgery, so breast growth isn't something important to me.

As far a erections and function go, some MTFs are able to maintain erections (with manual stimulation) and function up to the day of SRS. Definitely not the norm, but it does and can happen.

The last human on the planet that saw the twins was my surgeon, right before he removed them.  Thank the gods.

I'm really sorry that happened. It sounds awful! If you really want to see a female, I suggest asking around, maybe even ask your current endo. Best of luck <3

Aw sorry that you had to go through that. Hopefully things will improve. :)

And umm.. I sincerely wish people wouldn't refer to them as twins. Everyone is grown up or mentally matured enough here, the actual word wouldn't be scary I'm sure. I'm not sure how to explain it but umm it feels somewhat insulting and strange for those to be referred as twins  :(

Sorry to hear that.

I had the same thing but it was because I didn't have my MediCare card updated. So they called me by this name I haven't heard in ages. When the place was packed. I called the receptionist a bitch to the DR. then the DR prescribed hormones and a medical certificate not in my name. I changed my medicare details, and went back with the cert and prescription ripped up and told him to make a new 1.

the good part about having a male endo is that he will know exactly how testicles feel and work and should be able to monitor progress.
but next time you see him tell him you have to get aroused occasionaly as otherwise the things all shrivel up and make srs a problem.
