Hi everyone, this is pretty much how I look now 7 days after surgery. I did however do some photoshop, to hide some swelling and bruises that havent healed yet. I think I was much prettier before the accident, Michael thinks im better looking now. Please be honest, did I look bettet now or before ? My mom didnt even recognize me when I returned a couple days ago.  

You are still a pretty girl.  No one should have to go through what you did, but you came out if good shape.  AT least you are still the same pretty girl.

And your Mom is used to seeing her child that way you used to look.  She will come around.

Janet, your last sentence means alot to me. Its not that my mother doesnt support me, she always has. She is just trying to get used to my new look. Just as I am. She hasnt said anything about it, but I can tell. Im still having a little pain, but hoping I can be back at work by November, or I lose my job.

You look awesome girl. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but to me you look at least as pretty as you did before.

Yes it really is very different. It's quite amazing that this corrective surgery changed your face this much. I mean your smile, teeth, facial muscles, hairline, and even your hair? Regardless, you do look pretty and very feminine. I'm also surprised to see your lips and placement of your mouth change this much too. You really are good at photoshop to hide away the swellings and touch it up like that. I've been using photoshop for years and yet I can't seem to do something this effective with it.

You look very similar to how you did before your nose is just abit smaller down the center. You looked Great before you still look great.

My apologies I do not have a pre accident pic. S can I comment on the new you? You have a very feminine face. Your cheek bones are high and your chin/lower jaw has the female 'pointed' look. Your eye sockets appear different sizes but this could well be from the photoshop etc. You have very nice and pretty wide eyes.

I presume your cheeks and eye areas were affected in the accident. I don't make that comment from the picture just a presumption from facial accidents. If so the surgery has been excellent.

You have a very attractive female face. I cannot say if you are prettier now than before because I do not have a before.

The other pluses. You survived.  You survived without losing limbs, brain and movement, be thankful. You have a totally fantastic boy friend in Michael who persisted at Susan's to let us know what happened.  Your Mum loves you. She will get use to the new look, after all, you have to as well. And Michael is the tower next to both you and your Mum. I think, but may be  wrong, that he loves and adores you.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Noir, its my fault for forgetting to mention about the hair. I had a new hairstyle done the other day at the salon, to match better with my new look. Spacial , youre right about Michael, I wouldnt give him up for anything. My main concern right now is to be ready to go back to work by November. Im having therapy twice a week for my back pains.

Don't worry about your face, you look beautiful to me. It is always a shock when things like this happen to a loved person so don't think to much about your mother's  reaction. She must have been very worried about you and look at all small details and changes. She will come around as Janet wrote.

Thank you Octavianus. I can tell from some of your posts you are alot like Michael. I hope that someday on these forums you can introduce your girl. Michaels parents are wonderful, considering they know my past. Its really suprising because people here in Greece are not very acceting on transgender issues. Michael and I had our first intercourse last night, I dont know how to explain it, as a woman this was my first time. It was diffrent yet the same. Michael says he couldnt tell the diffrence, it felt the same to him. I t was amazing to be on the " receiving" end for the first time. Michael wants me to go dancing with him tonight, but I told him lets just stay home and watch movies. He was sad when I told him, But he has to understand I want to be careful with myself for a few weeks, to be ready for work.

Yes, you look different. I'm sure it is a little bit of a shock to look in the mirror, but you are still pretty. If anyone stares, it is because they think you are attractive. I myself have vitiligo which means that I get white lesions all over my body where pigmentation has gone away. My face is generally free of it except around my lips, but I have it on my hands and legs. Every once in awhile I'll be in a line and I will hear a little child ask their parent about "why does that man have white spots on his body?" Now that I can wear makeup and things like tights or leggings, I hope to be less conspicuous. I really don't want to draw attention to myself as I venture out into the world as a woman for the first time.

I learned some time ago to make peace with it, but I am never quite sure what I will find when I look in the mirror. The accident could have left you disfigured and in my world. You are lucky enough that it left you different, but attractive. To my eyes maybe even more attractive, but you and Michael are the only ones that count here. You are living the dream of so many of us here.
