Hey guys,

Just wondering if there are any guys on here from australia.  I'll be moving there in 2weeks time so would like to chat with some locals...and if you live in the local area that would be great!  Hopefully we could meet up or something!

Cheers.

Hey Josh,

I believe there are a few Aussies on here. I live in Sydney, but I only moved there recently myself. You won't be alone downunder!

Yeah, I'm in Australia. Central Coast at the moment, but I work in Sydney (so I spend a lot of time there).

There's a few of us on here. Depends where about in Australia you're moving to - there's a few guys from other parts around here too. Few from QLD, few from WA, and I think there's a few from SA too.

I know there's a number of transguys in Sydney. There's meetings at the gender center in Petersham - but I don't go myself (I went twice last year, but meh... didn't get anything much out of it. Then they changed all the dates and I lost track of 'em).

All in all, it's not a bad place to be in.

Hi JoshB,

Lots of FtM in Australia, not many on Susan's sadly.  Not sure how much research you have been able to do. Australia is big. Overseas people forget or do not know that. Australia is in land area about the same size as the USA. Numerically, we have less of the population of LA. There are major geographical, climate, social differences between states. Most Aussies are tolerant of anything accept intolerance. But there is as usual enormous divides. Homosexuality is generally accepted, particularly in the 'big' cities. There are big differences in how people are accepted in the cities, the country and totally different in the bush.

I have never ever, ever, ever regretted migrating to Australia.

Welcome Bruce

Hugs

Good evening Josh, I think you will like it here.
As Cindy said Australia is really as large as continental US, with the population of New York spread along the East Coast and around Seattle. The middle bit is not totally empty, but not nearly as settled as North America.
Socially I have heard it described as sort of a Canadian version of California.

Cheers , Sandra.

I'll be moving to the Gold Coast which will be nice im sure!  I've been to Australia quite a few times and as far as I know all my relatives live there.  It will take some time getting use to western culture, even though i'm Australian myself :P  Hope to get involved with the trans community ovver there!  Once again, thanks for your replies.

Cheers/
