So I started my shopping spree at Target and bought a cardigan and a faux leather jacket. Then I went to payless shoes and bought some new shoes; a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of flats. Then I went and got my eyebrows waxed. Finally I went over to For Eyes and bought myself a new pair of glasses and sun glasses that don't look so masculine.

Regarding the waxing and my new glasses that should hopefully arrive by Friday next week I feel like I'm taking care of the last remaining visual cues that where straggling behind everything else.

It was so great though being able to shop and be accepted by the other people shopping, and the clerks. I must have really been passing with the person at For Eyes because she was really confused when I had her look up my account by my old name *cringe*. She was still really good about it and we made small talk while she was processing my order. I made sure to get my name updated though so I wouldn't have to run into the issue again.

I'm so comfortable going out now as me that I've resumed my walks around the surrounding neighborhoods for exercise. The only difference is now I'll stop and talk with people I pass by if they look friendly. I don't want to say life is perfect because I still have to get up early on the week days, deal with traffic, and I haven't won the lottery yet but I can at least get a smile or two or three in too. :)

LOL. I do remember those days where the old name showed up  :)
But that was 20 years ago for me.

Congrats on a GOOD day!

Thankfully the name change wasn't even a issue. I asked her if she could update it and she did so quickly without question. :D

Yeah today was wonderful. Here's a photo of my new cardigan after my eyebrows where waxed. I am amazed at the quality of it. The stitching seems better done then Old Navy cloths typically are.

I've been thinking about maybe bleaching my hair blond or red.

Sadly no I'm not a genetic woman. I'm flattered you think I could be but sadly I can show you what I looked like before earlier in my trasition. If you where to search for natalie5316 on youtube you would see how terrible I look early on. Plus you'll hear my regular voice which is not what I use in public because I can't do it for very long yet.

I wish there was a way I could see what a color of hair would look like on me without me having to buy as wig or color my hair.

I will search you on youtube, and I will also photoshop your hair blonde and then red if you like!

I did it once and I'm working on a tutorial right now to learn again haha. So yes I can! I can make your hair like  dark red right now but the blonde is trickier. Do you want like Rihanna red or like burgandy?

I'm actually really intrigued about the bottom right one. I like that. What color would that be?

I can't find an example online but just go to the local drugstore and look for red hair dyes then look on the box and see what the results are for your shade of hair. It's a little more orange than I wanted to make it but I think you get the picture. My sister and bestie have done their hair that color and it's so cute. Out of the four pics I like the bottom right and then the original. :P

.
It looks like the color I have right now.  I use a semi-permanent dye from a box.  Garnier Herbashine 565, Medium Auburn Brown.  It's cheap, has to be done once every month to two months...and if you find you don't like the color,  it washes out over time, so there isn't the commitment you have with a permanent dye.
.
Since you have dark brown hair (I have medium brown), it would probably look even better on you.  :)
