Debra

So I've been on oral E and spiro for just over 10 months now. I have finally decided to start on the injectable estrogen bandwagon to see if I get more results with both breast development and body fat redistribution.

My doc gave me my new prescription and I felt all giddy like I did when I started HRT almost a year ago, kind of funny. =)

Here's hoping I see some more and better development in the next 5 months before surgery.

I was on oral and patches for 10 months and I talked my doc into injectables 6 weeks ago. My wife swears I am rapidly changing now in comparision to when I was  on oral and patches.

At 29 months on the oral, I doubt that injectables will do any more for me.  Having my Orchie was the nest thing I could have done for my development.

Jerica you look fabulous as is. I doubt you have any need to worry. You will continue to get good results I am sure.

aww thanks girl =) I would mostly like to not have to wear these handicapped padded bras all the time. It's sort of disappointing taking off your bra for a guy and they're so much smaller than they looked :P

Jerica bow chicka wow wow~^^ Yes, injectables they hit fast and hard. The first week I still remember my nipples hurt so so bad. More risks, but faster results. I think though it depends on your age when you start HRT as to what they give you. Anyway let us know if you feel any difference since you were on oral.  ;)

you know I will! =)

I'm on injectables I dunno about more development.  :-\ I'm still not even an A 9 months in so *shrug* although I do have some small hips and alot of ass coming along.

In threoy it's supposed to develop your whole body equally but I swear in practice it's like this.

I would gladly have a big butt like the second cartoon. At least it gets read female. I have like almost no ass whatsoever.

Yes, injectables they hit fast and hard. (...) More risks, but faster results.

Actually they are supposed to be more safe if you don't OD. This is because the coagulation factors, which are responsible for an increased risk of blood clotting is produced in the liver and the injectables don't go through the liver before the estrogen is spread in the body like oral medications do. Thus they are theoretically a lot less prone to side effects such as blood clotting.

Unfortunately many doctors don't use them for two reasons

1. is lack of knowledge on dosing injectables and lack of confidence in the transsexuals ability to administer the injections

2. is that anonymous studies have revealed some transwomen doing extraordinarily high dosing up to 30x what they agreed on with their doctors, which is plain stupid because OD'ing impairs the end result and causes severe health risks.

It is never advisable to OD on hormones. One reason being that your breast development will not get the same quality regarding fullness and shape as if you let it follow a slower pace. A transsexual development of usually 2-3 years is already way more fast than a natural pubertal development, which takes some 6-8 years! Quality takes time.

The exception for going slow may be if you are already 35+ years old or something like that because then your tissue sensitivity decreases rapidly, and it becomes a question of how much time you can afford on your development.

I've been on orals for 11 days, I see my dr on the 27 and I wanna ask to switch to injections cuz I keep getting confused with pills. She suggested I start with pills but I wanted injections from the start haha.

Debra

If my prescriptions arrive today, I can start tomorrow!!! Excited =)

Not today.  Today is Columbus Day.  Banks and the USPS are closed.  As are Federal and probably state offices.

If you have trouble remembering if you have taken your pills I'd advice you to talk to your pharmacy. They have special pill boxes split in seven slots as an example. This way you can prepare pills one week at a time and it is easy to see if you have already taken your medication a certain days.

Injectables may be more trouble for you since it is important that you take them at a specific interval, like every fifth monday or something like that. If you have a habbit of forgetting medication your levels will not be stable and you'll get mood swings.
