Well kids..... I've now got the prices in and tis scary reading..... from the doable to the holy-molly expensive!

(Costs from €14,900 to $51,361.00 in fact)

I'm keen to get this all done and dusted by Jan 2011 latest, so I can finally move on with my life and get back to some stealthy prime-time income generating - to recoup how much this past years tweaks have cost me...

(no pain no gain) *s->-bleeped-<-s*

In the frame for facial help are Dr. Bart van de Ven (Ghent, Belgium), Dr. Yaremchuk, (Boston, USA)  Dr. Meltzer, (Scottsdale USA)  and Dr Di Maggio down there in Buenos Aires...and no he's not that much cheaper when you dial in that he recommends doing the tricky bone and soft tissue works separately....with a weeks break...

So..... if any one you posting/lurking here have any info regarding your outcomes with any of said Dr chaps (all good for various reasons)... if you'd care to share your outcomes that'd be kool...  :P

I will in turn keep you all informed of my choice and outcome.

I read in another post that you have surgery scheduled for January, Congratulations!!!!!  It is a big step, and not an easy one to take, especially with that size of price tag.  Which Dr. did you chose in the end. I don't have any first hand experience from any of the docs you listed, but am super impressed with the work of DiMaggio.  For me it was a big choice between choosing a dr that does forehead revisions/reset (ie Dr O, Dr S, Dr. DiM) or just the burring (so many others).  I choose to go with Dr. Z in the end as I think he does a good job on the nose and like the idea of his endoscopic technique for the forehead.  I also have friends in Chicago who will take care of me after, which helped deciding to go there, and I really like that he seems to really stand behind his work/patients and doesn't charge for revisions (of course I hope I don't need them).

Anyway, just wanted to wish you a big good luck and congrats,
Jenna

Hi Jenna...

I'm most likely to go with Dr. Yaremchuk, because based on his skill sets and the fact that he's a Professor of Surgery out of Harvard, and currently Chief of Craniofacial Surgery with Massachusetts General Hospital...means his pedigree is first class.

And due to the dollar $ to sterling £ currency rate.... he's better value than going with specialist in the UK and Europe....amazingly!

Of all the written consults I had back, his was the most technically well thought through, with his specific remarks re my skull bone work. I forwarded all teams my X-Rays.

And with many of the other surgeons - they do lots of other general cosmetic work – jack of all trades - where as with Michael faces are his main key thing.... I think at the academic level, not many others can match his knowledge.

But I'll confirm only, and transfer fees - post our chat which is not due till the 26th....

So Argentina or Scottsdale might still be an option, however they are talking splitting procedures over 3 weeks.... and the flight of 14.5 hrs puts me off....post-op....after skull work!

Boston's only a wee hop in comparison!

Anyone who has any tips on where to stay in the Boston's Back Bay area please ping them through... soonest.

Ta muchly!  :P
