Wow, lilacwoman, I did not know it took so long for a nose job to heal, and I hope it will turn out very good. I'd also wait with new glasses, but if the infection doesn't go away, go and see a doctor.

I also got a nose job as a teenager, but it was not cosmetic, my nose had been broken and had healed wrongly and they had to fix it + also took polyps out. Healed much faster than your nose job. But well I can somehow imagine how it must have felt for you with the nose swollen etc.

Forgot to mention:  strange thing is that on cooler days my nose end gets very sore to the point I have to start breathing through my mouth.   Luckily we haven't had any really cold days yet but if daytime temperature gets down into low 40s I think it will be seriosuly painful.  dunno why.  but something to consider for anyone else seeking nosejob

day 39 since nosejob and the black dissolving stitch across the septum has finally dissolved and let me pull it out.
septum is still quite large so must be a lot of swelling in there to go down yet.
now I have to wait until mid Jan to see surgeon and decide on if further work is needed.
over here in the UK there is nothing quick about any of the sex change process - thanks goodness it's free.
