Ok, so.

I am working to get the funds for my SRS, I have friends who have raised funds for me, and I am getting about $5,600 of my Super funds back to pay for my surgery.
I now have my letter saying that I am recommended to have surgery.

Some of you may think, Oh you'd be so excited. Well, actually. I'm not excited, because in my mind, it is NOT going to happen, until I have woken up in the hospital, without that foul thing between my legs.

To make matters worse, I have a case of dermatitis on it, and other parts of my body which I now have to rub creams into it! Grrrrrrr!!! Salt in my wounds!
But I am prepared to rub ->-bleeped-<- into that thing if it means I can wake up, with a vagina, like I have been wishing, and dreaming to happen, all my life!

I don't know how much SRS costs where you're going, but I wish you well. Sorry I haven't much constructive to say >:

I totally understand your view.

I sort of have the same view, but in the back of my mind I know it will happen and when.

Go Class of 2011!

I know the feeling... I just want to wake up and it be next September. Can you invent a time machine for me?

The above ticker is meant as a joke! Laugh! Everyone knows the real zombie apocalypse isn't until 12/21/12....

I know what you mean, Sarah.  I was pretty sure something would happen to prevent my surgery - it was just too good to be true.  Then I woke up and I knew I would never again have to pretend to a man. :eusa_dance:

You'll get there.  Dreams can come true. :icon_chick:

Sometimes when life is a fight - we just have to fight back and say screw you - I want to live.

Sometimes we just need to believe.

Sarah,
You are blessed to have such good friends! And wow,  it is neat to hear! Well I know I would be thinking the same thing on it will never get here. I have waited 50 years and it is still not here yet. Maybe next summer...if I can get the funds together.
A big hug,
Amelia
