Halloween night was my first night out EVER en femme and it has been a whirlwind since then. I have been lucky enough to make friends with several other transwomen which has been AWESOME!  The people that I have met in have all been wonderful and  and I have been lucky enough to be able to hire one of these friends part time which is going to work out really good for both of us. She is learning how to do the craft work pretty good and I am hoping that it can work into a 40 hour a week job that she can do at home for the most part.

It was an interesting weekend and she learned fast. I was even encouraged to be able to go out in public en femme more by going out with her to the store this weeknd in probably the most racist/bigoted town in the state of Texas (Vidor-look it up) and we didnt get so much as a funny look.

The young cashier girl may have clocked my friend but she was very friendly and polite so it was a very pleasant outing. I guess going out with my friend made me have dreams last night of being dressed as my true self around family and work and in the dream no one acted like anything was different.

It is amazing how much my life has changed in the last 22 days and I am going out again tonight for a few hours to meet some friends. My new avatar pic is from Friday night. Am I looking OK?

Hi Stacy,

It's so good to hear you are making friends and having a good time. To have hired a transwomen is such a great way to support our community,  I hope it works out for the both of you.

Dreams are funny things. I remember I had some last night, I don't remember all the details (maybe that's a good thing), :o but I was in the correct gender. It left me with a good feeling.

Your avatar looks GREAT !!!!!  And the short hair, you are definitely rocking the business women look.

  Hugs, Erocse :)

You look magnificent! I'm also glad you're able to thrive in a "harsh" environment. It kinda inspires me to try going full time here instead of moving away just to test the waters before I go.

Stacy, you look amazing.  I know what you mean about going out dressed.  Since Oct 13, I've been in public every Wednesday night - I attend an 11-week workshop in Toronto called Gender Journeys, and since I go there directly from work, I must dress on the train, in the washroom.  The train ride is about an hour, then there's a subway ride, and a walk of several blocks.  And I've been doing that now for 6 weeks.  And week before last, I took Friday off work and went out shopping for the whole day, dressed.  And it was wonderful!  I really know what you mean, even though I don't live in Texas.  But.. congrats!  Good on you!  And yes, you look fantastic!

I have been on here for over a year and a half! lol  We should get together when I get back in town. I still can't believe you were married to my first cousin.  She is really going to trip when she finds out about me after learning about you. She is going to think "we" are everywhere!!!   lol
