Do not mix the two ... your body will go through several changes and a lot of stress during and while on HRT ... also Marijuana has a lot of negative effects ...
BS.

Sadly, this is another of those issues where information is so polarised.
Those that like it refuse to accept criticism, those that don't refuse to accept reason.
The best I can offer is that I've seen a lot of people suffering serious mental illness as a result of Marijuana. Some of it, permanent.
True the divide of opinion is quite polarised, I think criticism is one thing but backing up the criticism is really important. I see I lot of people rag on cannabis over things that are simple untrue with is saddening. I understand some people are against it and want to shut it down but if you want to try then get your facts straight. Everyone is different sure but my own personal experiences with it funnily enough disprove any negative claims I've seen. Not to say they 're not out there but out of all the "research" I've done I've never seen a reputable negative claim proven.
You helped provide an example, cannabis does not cause mental illness it simply can bring it to the surface in those that already have it, which in my eyes is a great thing because then you can deal with it sooner rather than later and get on with your life. Those that I have seen that are couch potato air heads were like that before they started smoking. Something to consider.
Personally I've been smoking weed for five years now, I lived with someone who was also transitioning that smoked cigarettes and she had a lot of issues where I didn't. I know we are all different and the issues could of been a result of other factors but I think it could be a good example that cannabis and cigarettes are not the same or are as harmful as each other. The difference is like weed = around 1000 chemicals and cigarettes are somewhere near ten times that. Sure smoke still enters the lungs but it's in moderation (two or three puffs a day is not the same as 10+ cigarettes) You'll also find more harmful chemicals in coffee so personally I say if it helps ease your stress and get you through transition then ...... that's your choice. ^________^
P.s for the past year I've only been smoking a legal smokeable incense and will be stopping it exactly three months prior to surgery. I couldn't say for sure if it could effect healing time of what is major surgery but to be safe I will be stopping. But saying that I will also be stopping coffee so...
