So I'm planning on coming out really soon, and I decided to write a song about how I feel... Here's what I have so far, it uses the metaphor of a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis.

Chrysalis


For years I've sat back, and let ya think of me as, someone I dont know!! The face that ya see, is just another way to, hide  my true identity!! I cant do it any more, I've been hiding for much too long!!

It's time that ya knew, what's inside of me!! I won't hide it anymore, cuz its been, tearin me apart!! I've felt so empty inside and I've been tryin to hide, but like butterfly from a chrysalis, 

I'll spread my wings and fly!!

All along I've lived a lie, and I've tried to play the game!!
But I can't, hide how I feel deep inside, the truth will set me free!! Time is up, there's nothin left, I've been hiding much too long!!
