I just wondered what this community's take is on female bodybuilders. I have been involved in the bodybuilding industry for many years and have to say that I am more attracted to them than 'regular women'.
I am a writer for several bodybuilding/ fitness and doctors websites and diet/supplement consultant.
I am also a personal assistant to a, Registered Dietician and Certified Diabetes Educator.

Through my work and experience I want to be able to help the transgender community

I like muscle on a girl, but body builders, the ones with the insane buff muscles and ->-bleeped-<- kind of scare me. Though the same goes for male body builders. I'm just a bit scared by body builders in general. XD I don't mean to offend you or anything.

I respect and admire them for their dedication, but I'm not attracted to them. I like women with natural curves and muscle tone. Highly built up, bulky muscles seem almost fake to me. Same with men. Muscle is good, but too much is a turn off.

I'm very impressed by female bodybuilders, but I can't say that I typically find them attractive.  I don't care for much muscle on anyone though (except myself, I want to be slim but ripped), my 'types' are usually slim or slightly/moderately curvy women and skinny boys.  I like athletic women, strong legs are a huge turn on, but massive upper body muscles or popping veins are a total turn off for me-on guys too.

I like skinny girls period. Nothing against who works out madly, but it just doesn't attract me!

Interesting opinions....I guess the 'stuff' that they take turns them into 'trans men' in a way. I wrote an article on the subject last year that pointed out that the average female bb takes more test than a transitioning female.

I will find the link for you guys...

Fascinating!  I'd be interested to learn more.

And to answer the original question, I don't find bodybuilders attractive because I'm not attracted to people with large muscles, but I respect their dedication to their sport / hobby.  I don't see female bodybuilders as any different from male bodybuilders.

I think the bodybuilding world - both male and female - has some serious problems with body dysmorphia that can rival anything that you see in the trans community.

I have lots of respect for the hard work and dedication it takes to compete in bodybuilding, but I think the bodybuilding community often promotes unhealthy ideals.

I am also troubled by the amount of unregulated and illegal drug use in the bodybuilding community. Just like smoking, it is a matter of personal choice what someone wants to ingest, but I do draw a line when it is being presented to underage transmen as some sort of 'holy grail' to solve GID related dysmorphia or as a cure to make people seem/be more manly. I know that doesn't happen on this site, but it does elsewhere on the internet.

I don't really have an opinion on female bodybuilders. Never met one, never really thought about it much.

Pretty much the same as everyone else, I respect the dedication but don't find them attractive at all.

If I'm ever attracted to women it's the small, skinny, cutesy tomboy type.

Apologies for the fact that my first link contained dosage info....here is another relevant article I wrote on the subject of testosterone therapy for women....no dosages mentioned this time......

I do not find them in the slightest attractive.  Actually, I think I could say I distinctly find them unattractive.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Recently I watched an episode of this show where people are addicted to things and have weird obsessions and stuff, and there was this girl who was addicted to body building. She was so ripped you could barely tell she had boobs and her voice was so low it sounded like a mans. I was jealous and it made me want to work out more. I feel the same as what a few others had said, Im not attracted to them, but I admire and respect them a lot.

Lee

I view it as a type of body moding.  It's interesting and takes a heck of a lot of work, but I think it's a little silly.  As for its attractiveness, I prefer people on the lightly muscled to slightly chubby side of things.
