Do you know what color nail polish looks good on a light brown colored skin type?

I want to paint my nails for the first time and want a crazy light blue color but do not want anything that will look horrible either. Also, does price=quality on this type of thing. Will Ulta or revlon stuff actually look better than a Target brand?

Thanks for any and all answers.

Price not equal quality, Price never equals quality, I think.

This said I have had the best luck so far with the "love my nails" brand. Generally $0.99 a bottle, with a nice selection of colors. Color and brand notwithstanding I highly recommend investing in bottles of both the bottom and top coats. (2 base, 2 color, 1 glitter(optional), 1 topcoat. Such is how I keep my nails from self destructing and believe me without this I am unable to keep similar lengths on me paws.

Color wise what comes to mind would be a nice red. My eye not withstanding however one could always do a bit of comparison at the store itself by comparing skin color and the bottle colors.

For comparison I started with a turquoise color ;)

Luck to you and have fun (=

Very true....price does not always equal quality.  One of my favs are Sally Hansen polishes (pretty much every store carries them I believe) they range from fun and funky to sexy and classy colors.  A little tip I learned (when I was pre-transition and trying to hide any evidence of nail polish use) is to lay down a couple coats of a clear on your nails before applying the color (be sure to get the spots where the nail meets the skin).  This creates a barrier so that the color does not stain your nails and helps keep color from getting stuck on the edges of your nails and also makes removing the polish much easier.
