One of more intelligent friends put something similar to this on his Facebook last night. He is a Marine, and because of that he thinks that excuses him from being PC, or treating people like humans. According to him and some of his USMC buddies every homosexual serving in the forces is out for their bodies, and lesbians are okay, just not gay men. *facepalm* Worst. Argument. Ever.

But women are supposed to kep silent in the Church according to Paul!!! Logic fail!!!

Exactly. It bothers me that he and some of his friends were being so utterly stereotypical and hateful. I doubt that someone joins the Marines or another branch of service to meet guys/girls, and regardless of sexual orientation that individual is going to have your back. Just because a guy is gay doesn't mean he is going to hesitate to shoot the enemy because he's more interested in trying to figure out what kind of shoes they are wearing. Stupid.

It doesn't help that the responses he illicited where from other soldiers and they amounted to nothing more than the uneducated ramblings of illiterate bigots. That is what is protecting our country? No thanks.

It just disgusts me that people can treat others as less than human and degrade them based on something so trivial as sexual orientation. It frightens me that it seems the only way to 'fit' into that niche is to be so full of hate for the 'common good and survival' of the platoon. Ignorance armed with weapons doesn't make me sleep any more peacefully at night.
