I went into the women's restroom the other day...and I noticed I got alot of looks from the women in there!...



Either I passed or I had something stuck between my teeth.

I passed yesterday walking out of WholeFoods. There was a man standing around 5 feet from the entrance asking for charity donations and when I walked out and was surrounded by cis women (just by chance) the man said "Ladies... and gentleman" specifically looking at me when he said the "gentleman" bit. I love my binder and sunglasses. haha

That is awesome! That would make my day too. May I ask what kind of sunglasses you wear? I was thinking about getting a pair but I dont want a pair that will feminize my face. I dont know what to get.

Aviators.  They have this magical masculinization about them, it feels like.

The instant I was stopped in the women's restroom for 'being in the wrong restroom' I decided to start using the men's. Congrats on passing more! Woo~

yaa I use the men's all the time now. I just feel incredibly stupid going into the woman's, like I'm going into the wrong one. I always have felt a little uncomfortable about it I guess.
Anyway, I've never gotten weird looks or got my ass beat for being in the men's. But it's only been just over a month so I've got a long way to go hahaha.

I get called "sir", "buddy", "bro", "man", "he", "that guy", a lot at work now. the only reason some people may give me the wrong pronoun is because my workplace specifically hires female cashiers and the regulars have caught on to the trend. Although, a couple have asked me if I was new because they've never been served by a male cashier.

I just smile and say I'm new :b

I was at Target a couple weeks ago and there were two guys that were walking in front of me and went in the restroom so I decided not to go in the men's and went in the women's and promptly had this women who had just turned around from drying her hands give me the oddest WTF look. lol

When I pass I tend to act nervous because I get so exited. That and I'm not used to it. I feel like I pass a lot but when its confirmed (he,him,sir,bro ect) I get kinda happy/nervous.

I don't know the exact brand- I got them a while ago at urban outfitters for about 10 dollars haha. They look like this only in black.

I never felt that they really hid my feminine features but apparently they work. I think anything that covers my eyes helps though to be honest. I have heard a lot of people say that the more rectangular the lens the more masculine it looks- at least for regular glasses.

Congrats.  Whenever people scrutinize me like that, I really want to ask them what gender they ended up deciding I am.  Here's hoping you get kicked out next time. 

Congrats. It's awesome!! I try not to but I had to use a women's restroom recently and a little kid looked up at her mom and said, "Mommy, who is that boy?"

Another time, I was in a stall and I heard a little girl arguing with her mother, "Mommy, I thought they didn't allow boys in here."  and the mom says, "They don't." And the girl keeps saying, "But I saw a boy in here! I really did!" I'm just grinnin'.....

(This is why I don't use them as much as possible--starting to scare little kids! LOL)

I agree with whoever said, when you pass you get so excited, it's hard to stay cool. Back in the fall I was at a bar, and the guy says, "What can I get for you, sir?" And I completely forgot myself for a moment and I'm all like bubbly and girly, asking for a Guinness. Had a good laugh over that one.

Also, I've been meaning to ask about the sunglasses, so I'm glad someone asked about that. Funny how often something is on my mind, and then BOOM, someone else puts up a thread. Great minds think alike!

Kids are very intuitive.  Back before I realized that transition was necessary, I thought that I could live with mild androgyny.  I would still wear guy clothes, but I would incorporate all the feminine mannerisms that felt natural to me.  I would sit with my legs crossed (I've got small junk, so it doesn't hurt to sit like that), and I would have a very androgynous demeanor.  Even though I very obviously looked male, I would get all sorts of comments from kids.  Sometimes, the kids didn't even know what gender I was.  When they decided that I was a man, they would start asking all sorts of questions.

If you want to get read for how you truly feel, hang out with little kids.  If I attracted that much attention with mild androgyny, I can't even imagine how many kids will be drawn to me by curiosity when I get further along in my transition to female.

Awesome, dude! I've been passing a lot recently also, even though I'm not on T yet. At the Publix that I frequent the most the ladies at the Deli all call me "sir". I was there with my dad one day and the lady starts ranting on to him about how it is great to have boys for kids because they will eat anything (she was referring to my brother and I). It's a fantastic thing, passing!
