This is a video I made for Tumblr. Sooo...yup.

jacob.ayden.averi

Sooo...really girly. Alright, cool. >_<

jacob.ayden.averi

Well, thank you. Heh. That's good, I guess. =]

Mr.Rainey

Other than the bunny not that girly. You look like a young skater guy to me.

jacob.ayden.averi

Haha, I love my bunny! Young skater guy? That's awesome, thanks dude. ^_^

Mr.Hyde

From my point of view, you have some girly manners (the way you touchyour hair, or the way you smile looking away...) but they are just Ok the way you are, I mean those does not prevent you from passing.
You look like a young skater to me too. Just can I suggest something? You have a pretty handsome face shape, so I would suggest.. try building the muscles in your neck a little bit. I mean, not looking like a bull but building them a bit will make your neck to look wider wich will make your face shape more visible and more guy-like. Plus, you won't get neck aches anymore :)
And I know this may sound weird but I love your nose, man!!

That's mostly what I was talking about, how I act. I'm shy so that's mostly why I look away when I smile. It's really unnerving for me to talk to a computer.
How...would I go about building the muscles in my neck? I've never tried that before, never really had much interest in it.
Haha, really? Thank you!

I dont think you are girly but like lance I am comparing you to me and I am very girly :...but I also think that in a guy girly mannerisms usually come across as gay mannerisms so for me I don't mind that so much because i ID as a gay man, and even if I wasnt gay, there is nothing wrong with being a lil flamboyant :)

Hmm I think for the most part I agree with skater boy though to me you don't look 17.
I know it's scary to put up a vid I get worried just putting up my picture lol but you play and fidget with your hair a lot if you can try leaving your hair alone  I think it'd help maybe play with a rubber band or something.. The shrugs seems really boyish to me. Of course I am looking for signs so I am nitpicking a bit here.. I think working out and building some muscle in your arms and neck would help you tremendously and make you look more your age.. But the lack of the extra muscles still makes you look like a younger boy to me.

Yeah, most of the time people think I'm like fourteen, tops.
The pictures of my lack of muscle that I'm about to post are definitely more nerve wracking than the video, haha. Mhm, I'm trying to learn to sit still. I play with my hair because I'm so nervous, I don't do it much in real life. Anyhoo. So here is my major non existent muscles, okayyy.

To be honest, I used to work out a lot. Like every day. Buuuut that was a long time ago and I've gotten so damn lazy. Someone motivate me!

Mr.Hyde

I'm here to motivate you!! The best exercise for the neck can be done specially the lazies. You just have to lay on your back. Pick some book, your favourite gadget (phone, i-whatever, game boy, etc) and hold it to your stomach. Then you can just have fun, you raise your neck and keep it raised to be able to look at your book/gadget. Or lay in your side and raise the head as if someone just called for you. Or lay on your stomach and raise your head. Basically this. You can do reps looking to your stomach then resting the head or do intervals. Just don't be too rough the first days.
Another exercise (which is quite fun): put a cookie/pop korn/whatever tickles you fancy in your shoulder. Try to pick it with your tonge. It's fun to do in groups.  ;D
I found this too: http://www.leehayward.com/neck.htm  You may want to take a peek.

Good luck man!! And Work Hard! :)

Yer voice sounds quite a bit like mine, the way it's scratchy and raspy. Not trying to be mean, it's a good thing!! Not all guys have super deep voices, I know lots of my biomale friends have that same tonal quality.  Just an observation...

And by the way, I don't think you are all that feminine, you are a little bit androgynous, but more male than female in my opinion. I agree with the young skater guy comment, too.  ;D

Really? That's cool. I'm not sure if my voice is like that in real life though, or if it's just the sound quality of my webcam.
Thanks. I don't want to be androgynous though, you know? I want to be at least like...ninety percent male looking. At least so there's no mistaking it. Heh, the funny thing is, I can't skate to save my life.

Nooo, god. I have the muscle definition of a first grader. Agh.

Hi Jacob,

So do you like numbers? Because if you do then I have one for you: IMHO you must be like 4 on the scale where 10 is girly.
If you're also taking advice you can try keeping your fingers away from your hair and face, otherwise keep your fingers together and poke more and slide less!!
Yep, rules to live by lol.

I hope that helps you   : )))

Less girlie on your new haircut, very nice!  ;D

Haha,
Dude don't worry you don't look that girly. And I understand the whole "talking to a computer thing". O_O I only just made my first T journal on youtube and I was so nervous about doing it, I kept forgetting what I was going to talk about, and kept looking around everywhere -_-
I looked like an idiot lol, but I guess you get more comfortable with it over time and doing more videos. *shrugs*

I agree with the neck excercising thing though, you have a tiny neck!! XD

Ahaha, I've never been so self conscious of my neck before. .///.

You need to be careful with that voice, though.  Don't force it to be scratchy and raspy like that or you could do some serious damage to your vocal chords.  Use a natural speaking voice, just from you chest and toward the low end (but not the low limit) of your range.  It'll still be a girl voice, but you won't destroy your chords, so when you get on T you'll have a chance to have a nice guy voice and not a damaged on.  Just some advice I'm passing on from my voice professor, who yelled at me for the same thing a few years ago.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

I actually don't do anything to my voice though. I never even noticed my voice was scratchy or anything before. I don't deepen it or anything, that's just how I talk. Is that weird?
