Adam Sandler Talks About His Transgender Housekeeper On Letterman (VIDEO)

On Tuesday night's "Late Show," Adam Sandler dished about his home life, including his funny solution to living with a house full of women (two young daughters, his wife, grandmothers and a female dog) involving a houseboy of sorts.

To inject a little more testosterone into the household, Sandler said his wife gave him a solution.

"My wife let me get a transgender housekeeper," Sandler said. "To have just one other penis in the house."

If you watch Letterman's reaction, he didn't jump on the joke immediately.  He seemed a bit uncomfortable which in turn seemed to make Sandler uncomfortable. But Sandler kept going with the bad joke and left the impression his idea of a transgender person is someone who is male born, dresses like a woman, has had no gender altering surgeries and is gay (interested in men).

Thanks Adam, for perpetuating the myth.

BTW, I don't believe he has a TG housekeeper.  I think this was just a really bad joke.

I would wager if he did have a trans housekeeper he doesnt anymore ....

I wrote the Huffington Post about this and one of the TS employees (who has helped with things before) met with the editorial staff yesterday to discuss being more sensitive to our community. I haven't heard back from her yet and the video is still there. Wait and see, I guess.

I agree with this 100%. Also the mentioning of the house being all girls and the housekeeper being the "exception" and the he-ing is very cissexist.

One other thing, I don't know if anyone noticed but when Letterman mentioned Sandler had two girls, the audience applauded (how hard is that?) and Sandler nodded to the audience as if he had done something really commendable.

I think this goes back to a very rudimentary element of our societal conditioning, that procreation is seen as an accomplishment.  And when you think about the anti-same-sex movement and their "one man, one woman" mantra, this type of reaction makes you realize how brainwashed we are to believe something that is so basic and such a strong innate desire (just try to keep humans from copulating!) is worthy of commendation and praise.

"Yes, I had sex with a woman and she got pregnant and then she delivered the baby.   And then we did it all over again"

"Gosh! You are amazing!" 

More testosterone? A penis in the house? WTF!

Adam Sandler is just not that funny. I've never really liked him that much. His kind of humor feels really cheap and contrived to me.

Great news! Although Huffington Post is not going to take the current video down due to it being unpopular and now somewhat obscure on their site they are going to work on how they deal with trans-related articles and videos. I am going to work with them on it. Very exciting! I can't tell you all the details yet but this is going to be awesome!
