It's time for me to come out to my family. For now I'm only telling my siblings.

I was going send a letter to all of them and time it so the letter arrives on the same day. After talking with my wife I realized that I needed to tell them face to face. My one sister is halfway across the country and doesn't speak with most of the family so she gets a letter. My brother is close so I'll just drive over to see him the day after I see my sister. My other sister is in SoCal so I've emailed her telling her that I want to spend some time together, just her and I. So the flight down and back is booked for February 26th. She's going to pick me up at the airport and I'll have about 8 hours before my return flight. I don't know how she will react. I'm hoping for the best and planning for the worst.

I want this to go well. She is my big sister and was very important to me when I was young and still is today even though we're not that close now. She even taught me how to shave my leg when I was six (little did she know that the time).  I have a plan as to what I'm going to say since I already had the letter written but I'm stumped as how to start the whole thing. How do you go from Sis I need to talk, let's find a quiet restaurant or coffee shop, to I'm transgendered? How do you ease into it a little bit maybe soften the initial shock a bit? Once a conversation gets going, or doesn't, I have no problem dealing with that. I have always been one to lay my cards on the table at the beginning. Figuring this out will help me deal with my brother the following day.

Any ideas about any part of this would be really appreciated.
