i currently own a pair of cheap 200 dollar breast forms from the breastformstore.com i don't know the model number, but currently i have gotten irritated at the heat and lack of adhesion to my chest,

i have seen that the breastformstore now offers medical grade masectomy breast forms called the amoena contact 386, they seem to have better temperature control than other models and they also have a built in reusable sticky backing,

my question is if someone has any experience with those breast forms or the amoena breastforms in general?

any info would be helpful

I don't know anything about these products, myself. Hopefully some will be able to advise.

At $200, "Cheap"  is a matter of opinion...

I hate to tell you but most common problems and complaints associated with long-term wear of almost every kind of external prosthetic "anything" (from breasts to limbs to ostomy products) are skin irritation, heat and lack of adhesion.  There are solutions and work-arounds but some may not be be as aesthetically pleasing as others. 

One could toss out her pretty bras in favor of those which offer more support and needing less glue.  Pocketed mastectomy bras where nothing touches skin but cloth are OK but the problem there is the breast form does not really move with you. 

I have no personal experience with Amoena prosthetics but we have a friend (cisgendered double mastectomee) who has worn a pair of their earlier "self adhering" styles for several years and swears by them - but she has also admits that she has to sometimes resort to her old mastectomy bras for a day or two every so often because of irritation. 

As for the vendor to whom you referred, many of their models are quite similar to the forms made by the same company who makes one brand of medical prosthetics.  Also, from a quick view of the vendor's site, their prices seem to be lower than you would find at a medical prosthetic fitting house.

I use amoena breastforms and like them a lot. Everyone's skin is different though so it may irritate your skin. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about them.

the one thing i was wondering was, does the adhesive on the back of the breastforms seem to maintain it stick well? do they really dissipate heat well? and how does the weight feel in your expectations of real breast weight?

I have the amoena essential forms I paid about $600 for them way less than a medical supplier charges ,they gouge cancer patients because they usually have insurance . The forms are great ,but in hot weather i do get sort of a rash under them , i also have some cheapy weighted fiber fill forms called leisure forms which breathe better and still give a good shape with the right bra.  What i really need is hrt and implants ,and delivered to me about eighteen years ago, oh well

I like the form they stick pretty well except for the edges. I'm on HRT and the small amount of breast tissue I have make me have a small amount of cleavage. I like the heat dissipation also. They are somewhat warm to the touch after wearing them for a while. I don't remember the model number I got though, but they were one of the more expensive ones.
