** An Update **
Dr Bowers was here just before lunch. The nurses had just taken her bandages off. Dr. Bowers had a look at Jerica's wound and was very happy with her work. Jerica is very bruised where the work was done but things look very good! Dr. Bowers then took off the bandages for the trache shave. Oh WOW! I see Jerica all the time and have been very, very aware of her Adam's Apple. It's not there! It's Gone!!! She is looking so good! Now if she can just get some of her strength and energy back... She hasn't been sleeping today. She has been resting her eyes A LOT! She can't quite get to sleep. We think it's the Percocet.
I, personally, cannot thank any of you nearly enough for the prayers and good wishes you have poured out over her. I choke up if I think on it all too long. Please continue to hold her up in your meditations and prayers.
