I'm assuming that Plenty of Fish is a dating site, I can understand why being trans could be an issue.  Why does it surprise you?
Nameless here for evermore!;  Merely this, and nothing more;
Tis the wind and nothing more!;  Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore!!"

its hardly ever a good idea to say to someone you just met who dosent know you that well
i blame the media/comedy for what they present trans people are, there seems to be assumptions or even a sterotype when trans are when being metioned

Nope, it doesn't happen to me, because I never go on dating sites. The way people are, that kind of thing is, unfortunately, to be expected. Hopefully you'll get lucky and find a decent person out there.

yeah it's hard. There is hope though, there are people out there who understand. Hang in there

It does not surprise me in the least bit.  Plenty-O-Fish is a Christian based dating site.  Even notice the little fishies in their logo.  Most of them are even if they do say so.

I have been on a couple of them but I dropped them.  Maybe after SRS.  Although I already do have someone in my life.

the ownership might profess Christian intent but in my experience the membership has no such illusions.

there are SOME there who are "looking for a good Christian" but there are also some rather...less reputable sorts.

I have an account, though I've no intention of meeting anyone and say something similar in my profile, just basically as a test of passability.

I'm certain if i ever told anyone i was trans they would flee, but i don't because i'm not going to actually meet anyone.
Disclaimer: due to serious injury, most of my posts are made via Dragon Dictation which sometimes butchers grammar and mis-hears my words. I'm also too lazy to closely proof-read which means some of my comments will seem strange.

there was a guy who was ok with it at first but changed his mind sometime later, he said he wants a real woman

Maybe you should try one of the trans dating sites like trandgenderdate.com... If you do a search for transgender dating I'm sure you'll find several others

I'd recommend against trans dating sites.  From what others have told me, 99% of those using them are pervy ->-bleeped-<-s looking to fulfill a fantasy.

I tried okcupid.com for a bit; wasn't really interested in dating at the time, and was using it more for friends, but it seems like there are plenty of transfriendly people.
