I got my testosterone prescription. The endo was very nice. He doesn't have a lot of trans experience, which worries me a little bit. He gave me the option of taking pills instead of shots but I've read that the pills wreck your liver so I asked for the shots. I'd rather take pills but I don't want to wreck my liver. So I have to give myself a shot weekly. He put me on a normal dose - not starting slow, just starting right at a normal dose. I hope that will be okay. I'm fine with that because I want as much change as possible before I go back to school in September but I don't want to be on too high a dose and convert the T back to estrogen.

I asked a few questions and he did an exam and he wrote me the prescription and told me to take it to my pharmacy and get it filled, and then take the testosterone to my family doctor to learn how to inject it. So I went straight to the pharmacy and they said the endo forgot to write down the code for the meds and they have to fax him and get the code. So I could have had an appointment to start the testosterone tomorrow except I have to wait for my endo to fax the code before I can get the testosterone so instead I have an appointment for Monday. So on Monday I start testosterone. That's fine, I can wait until then.

On my way out of the pharmacy I held the door open for an older gentleman and he said "Thank you, sir." Awesome.

Congrats!  I bet you feel on cloud 9.  Giving your shots isn't too bad -- I watched my son learn how to do it.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
