I'll keep this short. Its a pretty simple question, mostly pertaining to those who have started T or are going through the motions and have gotten this far.

I went to the doctors a little over two months ago. I use Kaiser as my healthcare and though transitioning isn't covered by insurance I can get T cheaper through them because they always have it in bulk and off brand. They told me they would prescribe it to me but before anyone can do anything they have to contact California for permission or something. Then they have to wait for the government or whoever to respond I guess. They were very vague. The doctor told me she would call me when this happened. I was confused because I've never heard of this. I thought all you needed was your letter from your therapist and I had that permission. But I went with it and gave them my cell to call me when everything was sorted out.

It has been over two months since then and I haven't heard a word. I know it takes a while to get anything done through the government...but I've never even heard of having to wait for CA to actually say OK.

My question is, is this normal or am I being jerked around?

I am going to call back and ask if they have gotten any word back, but if I get the run around I may start looking into going through someone else.
