I was board last night and found this movie on netflix called "Fish out of Water" by ky dickens.

It was about a girl commin out to her friends in college and her friends throwing religon back at her telling her it was wrong. She didnt know much about the exact passages that they were bringing up, so she got a bunch of prists, and revrends and psycologists together and took each passage in turn so that she could better understand. starting with adem & eve and going to liviticus, and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. She actually disproved each and every one by analizin all of them and she even told how they had changed to be used agianst her.

Has anyone else seen this its been out for a bit. I know is mostly bout coming out as gay but i found it helpful all the same becouse god has been thrown at me by my dad.

Thought I would just share and ask has anyone else seen this?

Haven't seen it, but I was sent to a school for fundamentalist Christians. So I already know there is no passage in the Bible that can accurately be used against homosexuality or transsexuals.

I know god, any god, is about love no matter what but I thought that this was a pretty good film about how someone who wasnt sure of the passages got her answers. thanks for the post.

I keep seeing this topic and thinking it's about the Marco Polo game.
The Bible has been used against anyone who isn't a white, straight, God fearing man. Personally, I agree with Stephen Hawking.

I talked with my dad some today first time in 2 weeks and told him how unchrist like he was being by judging me, we ended up texting for 2 hours. after a bit he finnaly agreed that he would respond to holiday greetings until he is ready to actualy communicate with me. Its a small step, a really small step but its progress. its better then not knowing whats happening with him. he lives on east coast and im west coast so i only really saw him once in a while.

yay for small steps and holidays!
