???I am wondering,what is the best partner for M2F?My own opinion is a F2M male.What are your opinions?

Yeah, I don't think there's any one kind of suitable partner for anyone. An ftm may share a similar journey and understand on a personal level. But there are cis males and people of all stripes who could be understanding too. Depends on what you're looking for.

Is there something.... 'non-op' related in this thread?

I believe that is an important factor, but it is not enough. So far in my life I don't have a very good track record for picking partners. I think you have to make a list of what you want and need from a relationship, and try to figure out what the characteristics of the person who meets those wants and needs are.

Yeah, but its a starting point.  I recommend someone with a job too.

Unless you're speaking specifically about trans issues, that's a false assumption. It's a given that trans men will have empathy for your journey and struggles as a trans person by virtue of having gone through it themselves. But other than that, trans men are not more empathetic or more 'anything' than cis men.

It's like saying, "I'd like to be with a M2F so I can have a female who retains what most females don't - a sense of direction".  That's just as dumb.

I'd be willing to bet empathy is a genderless characteristic - any sex differences would be related to what culture decides it is ok for that sex to be empathetic toward.

I understand wanting to be with a transgendered partner because they would have more empathy for your unique situation, but don't cast men in such a poor light.

Yeah...I'm not the most empathetic person and I haven't even undergone HRT. 

Sure, I'm moreso toward my female friends than like...uh...their exes, but that's because I've seen some of the ways that they've been treated on a first-hand basis.  So yeah, if they're suffering sexual harassment at work, I can empathize, because I've been there, done that.  If they were treated like an idiot by a mechanic because they have breasts, I can empathize, because I've gotten that treatment until I made it very clear that I knew what the hell I was talking about, etc.

But if it's not a situation that I've seen personally?  Nope.  No more empathy than any other guy.

I'd go further and since I think that empathy is a learned behavior, and that it can be, and is, taught and cultivated, that the real differences tend to fall along lines of education (how much and what kind), and that tends to speak to social as well as cultural distinctions, class distinctions enter into it too.
