First, I don't think transsexual people in Canada and the United States are stereotyped as prostitutes these days, though it may still be happening in countries like Brazil. True, I have heard and read derogatory comments in Canada about "->-bleeped-<-s," with sexual connotations. No doubt, there are some transsexual prostitutes out there, as well as transgender prostitutes, female prostitutes and male prostitutes. But most people here wouldn't generalize about any of those groups based on the actions of a few.
