From the medical certification letter I received today:

"In accordance with all presently known and accepted medical and legal definitions, the operation has irreversibly and permanently changed JESSICA LEAH ROWAN's sex from male to female."

Ok, so I cried again after reading it...     Now I can't get this grin off of my face :-) It's real.... I mean.... it's really real!!!

It's easy enough for all of us to know, in our hearts and minds, which gender we are... That's the simple part, really. But every step that I've made that included some sort of documentation has been very validating and valuable to me. The "F" on the drivers license, changing the gender marker at work, getting the "F" on the passport, etc.... but to see it, official and notarized.... It's just priceless.

I had my second follow up appointment with Dr. Suporn this afternoon, 13 days post-op. I had my first experience with a speculum  :o  which was not quite as scary as one might think it would be; no pain, just pressure. After a look and some swabbing with a wickedly long pair of tweezers and a few cotton balls, he stated that there was no active bleeding and that I was healing "very fast." There's practically no swelling now. The only pain I feel is from the perineum and even then it's just a dull ache. I'm VERY VERY pleased with the amount of sensation in the labial/clitoral area  ;D although Suporn likes to warn, "No sexual thought, two month." So I plan on my first post-op orgasm for about 12:01 am July 31.  ;) lol.

I walked to and back from the clinic today... even took a trip over the pedestrian footbridge to buy some Coke.  I think that's about the walking I'll do today besides up and down for dinner. I'm a bit homesick and I dearly miss my children but being here, with so many other transwomen from all over the world makes for good company! My trip's half over and I still have lots more healing to do but I'll say it again: I'm so glad I came here!!

All I can say is WOW!  Great news, hope the trip home goes ok, and you can see you loved ones soon.   HRT 2 months now, and I am starting to think about SRS, can't get it out of my head.
Hugs, Karen.

Be cleaner when you smile; it dripped on me and now I can't take this grin off my face either.

That is very exciting news!  There are very few words that can express how elated I felt for you, reading those words.  I have a long way before I can start thinking about being officially official, but am excited none the less.  Congratulations!
