Cause I got them horses on my mind, it would have to be the little nickery lippy thing in your ear when they like you.

waves hitting a stony beach.
'For the circle may be squared with rising and swelling.' Kit Smart

A small river running the steep walls of the canyon it has carved out to Lake Superior on the north shore. The falls and the sound of water rushing through the rapids is humbling.
  •

Taka

rain hitting the roof

aspen leaves trembling slightly in a breeze

snow falling in a silent winter night
  •

Silas

a hat brushing the microphones on a hearing aid.

nearly inaudible, but a blanket being rubbed against skin to warm up.

very soft footsteps and paw-steps on carpet.

(perhaps more disturbing: a very soft-pitched, constant humming-like sound that experiences no change in pitch. you think it's a washing machine, but are informed it is a woman screaming in her room. sad day.)

May I assume these sounds are things we like?  Mine are the crackling of a large fire, surf breaking on the shore, rain falling, wind in the trees
  •

Taka

a thunderstorm

a couple mice running on the floor

leaves dropping off the trees in fall

People are writing things that way, but I suppose the thread is just an excuse to write something that drifts without really drifting.
The same as the smell thread.
We can go off on tangents without really going off.

I personally like the sound of large caliber weapons and the smell.

i like the sounds a happy cat makes

a handful of little kittens all purring at the same time
The sound a baby racoon makes when talking to you
The horse whinney's when you walk in the barn at feeding time. Sweet feed=heroin for horses

The hum my honey makes when she's content
The purrr of my cat when he's happy
The hmmmm of my sewing machine
I'm also the spouse to the fabulous Mrs. Cynthialee.

a harley, better yet being at the back of around a hundred Harley's cruising the back roads to small town bars that welcome that kind of thing.

Rain hitting the rooftop
A baratone voice humming
Piano music... any kind, I love piano
Drums!  Percussion gets my heart racing, lol

And, um, the whirring of my window AC unit, if for no other fact than that it drowns out the noises from my loud neighbors, lol XD

Neil Gaiman's voice.
Tibetan singing bowls.
water, be it rain or crashing waves.
trains
If curiosity really killed the cat, I'd already be dead.

Taka: You might also really like what this guy can do with his voice, then: http://www.wimp.com/throatsinging/  When I watched your video it made me think of this one, it's possibly the same sort of singing.

The piano has been drinking. If you like that one try out 'I Hope I Don't Fall in Love with You'

Heartbeats. My head on someone's chest, listening to their heart beat. My girlfriend, my boyfriend, my dog. Doesn't matter. I love hearing the sound of someone I love living.

(This is weird) But I also love hearing someone's stomach gurgling. I have a huge fascination with internal organs and intestines though.

@sunny: it is the same singing, only difference is that bady-dorzhu is a true master of the style who has been taught by one of the best of the old masters. i seriously like his voice, and i've even been lucky enough to meet him irl. only years after meeting him did i learn how great he really is in his homeland..

Taka: ah ok.  That's really cool that you got to meet him.  You'll have to forgive an untrained ear like mine for not knowing the difference in skill.  I'm feeling quite lucky that I was even able to draw the connection in the singing style, really, lol
