I plan an orchiectomy & look forward to this procedure however I want to make sure this will have no effect on SRS at a later date. Obviously I need to make sure my final SRS is as natural, deep & complete as possible.

Thanks for any RLE on this subject.

Spoke to my SRS doc (Sanguan) just a few day back on the subjet.

Comment: If done by a surgeon that knows about SRS i.e. where to cut and where not re. scars and all it be fine.

But in his protocol he uses ALL of your scrotum to achieve best possible depth. Orchie will shrink your scrotum. So if only a short spell in between to SRS that be fine. In his comment.

Now the other thing. It's known that post SRS requires to stay for some time on pre-op HRT levels - more then a year by most accounts. So would orchie.

So what will orchie do at all - IF you plan SRS in time.
If you do not plan SRS, orchie makes sense.

Yet, and that's just my personal issue with orchie I get this "de-balled" notion... please forgive my coarseness but that's what makes me think to hang ten until SRS can be done.

So, it is not for every one, and if you suffer REALLY high T there may well be good course for it.

For SRS docs who uses scrotal tissue for the vaginal wall as opposed to penile inversion (more and more docs are switching to scrotal tissue) suggests that Orchi is fine if you get SRS shortly thereafter.

Scrotal tissue will shrink once the testes are removed. It isn't immediate but if you have orchi and then wait like 5+ years your depth will start to diminish.

However, if vaginal depth is not a concern for you, then having orchi and srs whenever at an later date wouldn't be of much concern. If depth is important to you and you are looking for a doc that does scrotal grafting then your orchi should be somewhat close to your srs date.

Hi Val,
no idea if these "spare parts" will be able to move up into ones groin like the real stuff.

If not... no way to tuck and appear flat enough to pass at that "level" (down yonder).

Also how much $$$ to spend on it all? Could add to your savings for SRS, or?

All being equal you're not going to save on hormones for some time either.

Of course you're right, there are testicle prosthesis but more favoured by cis-males (cancer or one missing from birth) and FtMs, for all I'd know.

Thanks everyone. It seems I can maybe move forward without causing a problem with SRS later. I do want normal depth & girth.

Any other advise from anyone is greatly appreciated. I obviously want to take the best possible steps forward.

Thanks to all for your reply & advise. I feel better about moving forward now more than I ever have in my entire life. The fact that scrotal tissue may be used to make a more normal size vagina gives me hope for a normal life. A penile inversion would have been too small to ever have a normal life as a normal woman which is all I've ever wanted.

If anyone has suggestions on the US physicians that perform this type SRS I would appreciate their names. Also does anyone know roughly of the cost for this type procedure? I do not plan to travel outside the US for any surgery. I have reasonable resources for the surgeries I hope/think.

Thank you again for your help & advise.

I hope one day to join you 100% as a normal healthy happy woman.

I dont want to steer anyone in the wrong direction I was just meerly stating that I had my Orchie when I was 18 and it wasnt a problem so many years later was all but I understand that it is best to wait for SRS

Thank you, I will go slow & discuss with SRS physicians before I make a mistake.
