Sounds like something my late father-in-law would have fancied.  He liked diced tomatoes, sliced chillies, onion and coriander stewed down in a pot , on toast.

Just finished some Kashi 7-grain waffles with homemade apple butter.  I'm counting calories and am amazed by how few are in those two things.

Um, in the Navy we called that "stew on a shingle".  Slight difference on some of the ingredients, and varies, but the "stew" is being clean here.
  Being from a lower middle class background, that stuff really was not that bad.  My first experience of that stuff was at Navy bootcamp, San Diego.  Funny, I rarely seen that stuff aboard the carrier though.  Served as breakfast.

Ham, Polenta, and String Beans

Oven barbeque chicken with the new Yukon Gold potatoes boiled with a turnip, both from the garden and the turnip greens.

It's been to hot to cook much.
Did grill some marinated ham roast tonight and steamed some fresh green beans to go with the fruit.
