I told a coming-out story in church two weeks ago, that referred necessarily to my previous life in the wrong gender.  Afterwards, one of the church regulars told me, "I can't even imagine you as a man."

I have to say, you must attend a wonderful church to have the ability to discuss transgender topics openly.

BTW, I noticed that I do think of myself as her, she rather then male. It just feels right and needs no second thoughts. Quite interesting, it only happened some month ago.

For closer family it might be a bit odd, what so it IS.

I attend a Unitarian Universalist church and everyone there whom I've come out to so far has been very accepting and welcoming.

Yes, it's a UU Church.  I have been going there several years, and about once a month, I tell the Story For All Ages, as part of the Sunday service.  The week I told my coming-out story (one of them anyway), was at a special Pridefest service.

What I think is more remarkable than them letting me tell trans stories at Pridefest, is them wanting to me to tell the Story/Ages about nothing having to do with LGBT issues, just like a normal person.
