There seems to be a group of people who want to be able to view post-op photos on this site, and a group of people who are not inclined to view any such explicit photos. I don't see why a special sub-forum just for the purpose of post-op photos wouldn't be a fair compromise. That way everyone can avoid viewing photos if they choose to or view them at their own discretion.

a really good idea is to place a post on on a thread about it and forward the link of that thread to Susan so she can get a good picture of who wants it and then the person who wants it can dialogue with Susan about it.

We have many users who are under 18 that come to this site, and Bots from many places post our links on the web.  I would be against any post op pictures of a vagina.  It's not like we would let a genetic woman post pictures of her vagina here.  We also don't allow genetic men to post pictures of their penis.

As things currently stand on this site, it  is not appropriate to post pictures or live links to pictures of genitalia (I was ahead of myself suggesting the latter, which is also not in line with the ToS). This is for the protection of vulnerable folk on the forum, but also for the protection of the people in the photos, as netbots can harvest live links and image links, and then you never know who is getting to see your photos.

It is fine, however, to post a topic where anyone can say: "if you want to see pictures of mine, please PM me" and share images that way.

By all means get in touch with Susan if you're still not happy with the reasons stated in the ToS and want to explore other possibilities here, but she has the last word, and has set things up the way they are for good reasons.

Also, everyone is different when choosing a doc. For example, I never asked for people's vay jay jay pics when I asked about their docs. I merely asked what their experiences were like with the doc as well as other research to make my decision. I didn't really think those people who I asked needed to show me their privates in order to believe them.

first of all anna, it should not be in a freaking forum nor should there be a link to an external website.....there should be a place on the *main page* along with all the other material......how hard is that?  With all of your theological education Anna, you sure as hell do not know how to read........I never said my vajayjay was the best my doctor ever made.....I said I had wonderful results and I could not be any happier with it.....maybe you should join me at Millersville??

wow!!! that's comparing apples to oranges!! lol  unless a doc created that vagina for the genetic woman, why would a pic of her vagina being posted here even be relevent? lol

@ Padma......I am very curious....if seeing a vagina causes you so much distress, and assuming you will complete surgery, how will you ever be able to do post op dilation?

This is getting tiresome, so this is the last time I'm going to clarify this. I do not have a problem with looking at vaginas. I have a problem (sometimes) with having them suddenly thrust upon me uninvited. You were advocating having closeup pictures of vaginas inline in forum posts here, I was explaining why I don't want to come across that unexpectedly, using myself as just one example of why it'd be inappropriate to do that here.

I suggest putting in:

BIG RED TEXT...

... Saying that they are vagina pictures. And only insert links without embedding the pictures themselves.

Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed. I wanted to see    My friends joke and call me the most lesbian straight girl they know. I can't help it that I find it interesting!!!

If anyone is dying to see your work or if you're dying to see someone else's work, then you can always start a thread in which you invite that type of photo sharing by PM.

If you have a problem with site rules, take them up with Susan via PM. Staging public protests violates the Terms of Service and invites moderator action. And acting snarky and throwing hissy fits in a thread are counterproductive and annoying.

I never said in a forum.  There should be a place created on the mainpage for each surgeon where photos could be collected and organized........exactly the same way that anne lawrence had her website.......where you could click on each surgeon to see their work

"some" of his best work or "among" his best work is not the same as his "absolute" best work.......it may only be a minute or subtle difference but a difference it is indeed.  lo siento mucho

not mine............Preecha, Bowers, Saran, Suporn, Sanguan, Chettawut, McGinn, etc, so forth and so on......get it?  A reliable place for the transsexual to view each surgeons work..... a place where a decision can be made based on more information.  On the main page is a list of all the SRS surgeons.  What I am suggesting is merely having photographs of the their work right there with their names........and if possible, a patient account of their experience with whichever surgeon....good and bad. 
That is all I was merely suggesting.  It's not a hissy fit. but there are some acting like a post op photo of a medical procedure is the same as looking at Hustler, Penthouse or some other pornographic material.

I am merely advocating for a special place on this website where photos of each sugeons work can be accessed.  IMO, this will allow each pre op TG an additional resource of information in making their decision of which surgeon to choose.  I feel very strongly about it.

nice to see you gave me a negative rating because I gave you one based on your actions on this thread. My rating was justified. You attacked me personally based on a simple and respectable disagreement and that warranted a negative rating. Your retaliation to give me a low rating in response shows me your true maturity. My impression of your actions is getting lower and lower.

People here have given you well meaning responses and I even disclosed a portion of my past to give my opinions on the matter as well as many other people here including moderators. When we disagree with you that does not mean we hate you or we think you are stupid. It simply means we disagree. A truly mature response would have been gathering all the ideas people have given you and even if you disagree with them you note it. Then you take it to Susan and see what she has to say with your ideas. Going on this type of tyrant isn't really doing anything better for you at all. It isn't really pushing your ideas in a favorable light and it is not showing your character in a favorable light either.

Lashing out over disagreements is something I used to see in Junior High School or failed relationships.

anna, look back thru the posts and you'll see that I felt you attacked me first.  I ignored the whole smite/applaud thing because I think it serves no purpose.  In fact, I feel that you've been trying to attack me through out this whole thread.  I think I'd be justified in smiting nearly each and every one of your replies in this thread.
My reply to your post was not a personal attack.  you did not quote my earlier post properly and it was misinformative, it's that simple.
How you view or feel about me really is irrelevent.  Your nobody to judge me as I am nobody to judge you.  You want to sit on your perch and look down your nose on everybody......well, I too am working on a grad level degree at Millersville.
Doesnt matter to me anymore anyway.  I thought I could help the pre op trans community by advocating for a place where surgeons work could be viewed.....but that will never happen on this site. 

The rules are pretty clear here - if you want to advocate for changes to the site, you contact the site owner, you don't rail against them publicly. I therefore suggest (again) that you do that, and I'm going to close this topic now, it's just going round in circles.
