I had some strange experiences too. When I'm in boy mode I try to make sure people see me as male, because I don't want any awkward situations, but I guess I'm just not too good at it

I was at work in the men's room washing my hands, and a guy came in. He looked at me, and then he said: "Sorry, I thought this is the men's room" and he left as quickly as he could.
I travel by train a lot and sometimes people think I'm a girl. I really don't understand it because I mostly wear very manly baggy clothing.
I was sitting in a compartment alone minding my own business, when I heard a part of a conversation:" ... ask the young lady(me) if she is waiting for somebody..." and then they asked me if they can sit down in that compartment.
I needed some antifreeze for my car in the winter, so I headed down to the gas station. The shop assistant greeted me, "Good morning miss, how can I help you?" and I just froze for a second because I didn't expect it at all because I didn't even shave that morning.
I was talking with a friend on the street when a little dog ran up to me and wanted to play. The dog's owner arrived a few seconds later he apologized and told the dog: "The lady doesn't want to play with you". My friend just smiled and couldn't imagine how could he mistake me for a girl.
I know, that would have been the perfect coming out oppurtunity, but I'm a coward.
