Well, I do qualify today to take out the rubbish from my house up to the street. Normally the estate I live in does that part.

I also know I DO NOT qualify for Mother's Day, and sadly do not seem to qualify for Father's Day any more either.
And there not being a Parent's Day that seems to be it for us, eh.

Have to concentrate on Valentine's Day --- though I NEVER as yet got a Valentine either, poor baby!
Now I do feel full of self-pity... ->-bleeped-<-e!

You should, or technically you will after your SRS.

Apart from the fact I'm not in SA, I'd have to wait 18 months or so to be post-op I guess.
There's always International Women's Day I guess.

SRS does not make you a woman.
Universally, unequivocally, loudly saying, "I am a woman" does.

Renate,
kiss, kiss,

Or as I once read: "You can graft a vagina onto a melon, but that will not make it woman" hehe

Thank you for reminding us :-)

Why hon?
No passport --- been a bad girl after all then? Or what?

They would not, even here, do verifications down your pants (skirt?).

Hey, we ARE *the* place for human rights after all.
Highest murder rate in the word not withstanding, um.

Welcome to my word...

PS: My place 'Gauteng Province' has car number plate code GP => 'Gangsters Paradise', doing things in style here, no.

Last passport expired a couple of years ago, and I haven't been in a position to travel OS for the last couple of years, so no point in renewing until lately.
GP - I like it. Does it mean you can ride or drive faster?

yes we would qualify, just because some of us do not have a vagina does not make us any less of a women.
Vagina does not equal women just as penis does not equal man. If you feel your a women and identify as a women then your a women,so you should qualify.

Righto honey,
now how will all those other know that?

I know, OK, but nobody said happy woman's day to me. Now I think that might be telling...

And if I had SRS as was planed in June, that score would have been just as dismal.

Maybe a chest sign "I AM A WOMAN" back and front would help? Just saying, and my family wouldn't even see that, ... they don't even see ME.

I dont get the pass port thing because i have no ID and i am allowed to get it as zoey (pre SRS) and gender female but that has something to do with the fact i havent got a ID yet so i get that privileged

Such complications! This year the family (well, the son and 2 step-daughters, #3 dropped us after telling her last year) had a real debate on what to do when. All I can say is, I am my son's father. I am my step-daughters' step-father. I am not their mother, their mother is. Do I mind Father's Day cards? No, not really. Would I want to qualify for Mother's Day cards? So much so that only those of us here can understand. Am I qualified? No, I'm not a mother. Mostly I think Mother's Day has been for mothers, with other women getting in on the deal to avoid hurt feelings at being ignored - sort of "I might be a mother-in-waiting," you need to be nice to me on the off-chance. International Woman's Day? Those pushy broads want two days a year? Let 'um get pregnant!

Hey Honey,
you are so deliciously non-PC it makes me laugh :-)
Also, because there is no "man-day" either...

I think it came about to a Women's Day, because the PDP's (Previously Disadvantaged Persons) in the old right wing Apartheid regime. Caucasian females (cis...?) where also considered PDPs.

There won't be a "trans-day" ever the way I see it, and so we from all 3 days excluded.
If being younger, Valentines Day might have come up trumps - but then who knows.

I absolutely resemble that remark! Actually, I'm completely PC - I have never had a Mac!

I thought every day was a "man day." If you think not, just ask one of them!

You're never too old for Valentine's Day. Of course you may be too old for a man (see above) to make you his Valentine. That's something I've noticed since going full time - many men look right through me since I am not 22 - (I'm 65), not blonde, voluptuous, leggy, slim (well, lately I'm much more so) and generally don't really look to be in the target range. I don't know whether to be glad or sad.
