So a manager that I work with, that I have worked with for 4 years is being very disrespectful reguarding my transition. I am out at work, my name tag says Michael, the schedule says Michael, and everyone there refers to me by Michael and with male pro nouns besides little slip ups every once in a while, where they immediately correct themselves. I am totally ok with that. However the manager that I am talking about has not been supportive and hes said many rude things to me. Some things include that im making a stupid mistake, i just have penis envy, blah blah blah. Hes been really getting on my nerves lately, but this week he has just set me off. I had my name legally changed last week, the same week that 5 new people were hired. I got to introduce myself as Michael and everything which made me really happy. This douche bag manager I work with has yelled my birth name across the store even after I correct him and say no its legally Michael, he purposely calls me miss in front of customers and ughhh im getting so heated just writing this. Im sorry for the ramble, but i really needed to get this out. Anyone else ever deal with a similar situation?

Wow what an a**hole. I don't know how it works where you live, but in Germany that behavior ist considered discrimination, most probably even sexual discrimination, which is illegal here. If I were in your situation, I would talk to his manager (if there is one) to set him straight. I hope, they are more accepting and everything works out for you. Good luck.

He sounds like a complete goose.  Here it would be dsicriminatory too. Do you have a HR Dept or someone over him you can make an official complaint to?
