I look at the pictures and say, "I could go either way." It's not a matter of not passing at a glance; I'd assume you were a boy between 13-15. If you're still in HS, you're definitely "acceptably androgynous" in that your youth trumps gender: boys don't look like grown men at that age anyway so voice, movement, mannerisms, and general presence will go a long way one way or the other.
Moxie is what you need at this point, not clothes.
You're a man, and f--- the haters and any who would tell you otherwise.
Put the attitude on while you're putting your uniform on. Clothes don't make you who you are, and clothes won't be what makes others respect you, confidence is.
I know confidence is tough to muster when you're having a hard time taking yourself seriously or when others get it wrong. But high school is a marathon, not a sprint. You win by outlasting those who are against you. You don't need every day to go perfectly, or every person to accept you. If you think you do, you won't make because there are some unhappy people out there who are out to rob you of the courage you're showing in being yourself. Focus on the end of the year. If you can make it there, you've beaten them.
