Not any more. It has come into common usage. Resistance is futile...but I do still draw the line at "ice tea" and "irregardless." Wonder how long I'll be able to hold out.

I'd like to sneak into Ablow's house and paint his toenails pink. Tainted for life! He'll turn into a drag queen and adopt the stage name Olive A->-bleeped-<-b.

Is that your Borg Cube outside?  I also was not aware pink nail polish turned people into drag queens, I will try this later and report back on the results.

If "impact" isn't a word then someone better notify everyone engaging in impact play that there's no such thing.

I think he changed his name...it used to be Ablowhard.

Dancing with the Stars is on ABC. Fox "news" is on Fox.
IMO, average IQ on this forum far exceeds that of any of the "experts" Fox has fallen for so far.

Fallen so far?  Really?  That's their MO, always has been.  Rupert Murdoch made his name and money in sensationalism and exploitation.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

My point was more about belittling their experts, but of course they're not really innocent.
Otherwise it would be Goat network, not Fox.

:P

Use strict laboratory protocol so we can shut this idiot down once and for all. Oh, wait, I forgot--he doesn't operate on logic and evidence. Just scaremongering.

By Ablow's logic, I suppose I'm trans because my mother DIDN'T paint my toenails pink when I was young.

So, we agree, the opinion of this doctor is as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike

More like a motorbike on an ashtray, but, yes.

True, but I am determined to follow the ways of old proper grammar with none of that "omg lol" nonsense! ;D

Heh, I live in the south, so "ice tea" is what's served at every restaurant.
"Irregardless" just isn't a word. Even if it and "regardless" become like "inflammable" vs "flammable" I will not use it.

Well, you...you...you SNOB!!!!!

So I guess we have established that that Ablow has real credentials but no expertise in trans affairs and no desire to educate himself. So maybe he's a real doctor but a fake expert.

I have a PhD. And I don't think I should have an ignoramus lobectomy, cries Cindy and she hides from lobectimising Mods

I'll fool you all by being dumb, it seems to have worked so far

But seriously, I know and interact with many pathologists, many are very very bright, but they are not, nor do most claim, to be intelligent about everything. I would suggest that a forensic psychiatrists opinion about transgender topics is as relevant as their opinion on the NFL. That news stations trot these people out and present their credentials to influence lay society is misleading and borders on false advertising. Of course they get away with it because they never state that the person is just expressing a personal opinion in an area in that  they have no professional knowledge.

I do deal with news stations as part of my professional work. They want an opinion, they want it directed at the level of a bright 11 year old (yes folks that is the understanding level of the average audience watching the news), and they want it short and snappy. They are not bothered about accuracy, they have in built disclaimers. And of course they are reporting 'my' opinion. Television be it cable or whatever is about selling advertiser space, it is about making money through contracts, it is about  making money.

I'll stop before I rant ;D :o

Just Googled him. Forensic psychiatrist. Still. Just another hater. His research is clouded with bias just like any other individual researcher.

So does that mean he is only qualified to give council to corpses, crime scenes and the people who do the forensic work? :P

Sorry, Cindy!  :icon_bunch:  I've got a niece working on her PhD in the UK.  Forensic Psychologist!  :icon_chainsaw:  No Kidding!
