I have noticed a number of significant changes since my doctor and I elected that it would be best (increased safety was the concern, given the recent TIA) to switch estradiol administration modalities from oral to intramuscular.

These have all been beneficial changes, but I seem to be possessed of a state of chronic fatigue, anymore.

I don't know if this finds its etiology in high present levels of ambient stress (from numerous vectors) or whether this is directly attributable to the change over to Delestrogen IM, which apparently has (unexpectedly) resulted in much higher serum levels of estrogen.

I'm pretty much wasted as I scribe these words and I've got a long, stressful weekend ahead of me--just what I don't need....

Methinx that I will be plugging in my "Hearts of Space" music and taking a nap for lunch.

This hardly constitutes a crisis, but I am curious as to the causation of this drowsiness.

I take the oral ethyl Oestradial and upon onset I get sleepy then an hr or so later that feeling goes away. I think that is normal. If it feels like you have to much estrogen on board you might want to talk to your doctor about that.

Sounds like you are on a fairly strong dose for you and if your not used to it or new to hormones you should be very careful and proceed with cation until you know how your body and mind reacts.

Hi hon.   :)

Were you aware Kristina, that life is not possible, without coffee? (ahem) Well, for some of us that's true.

My dose is within the range of what girls such as we are normally prescribed, but I am thinking that the changed mode of administration has notably increased the bio-availability of estrogen in the body.

Your point is well taken and quite appropriately stated.

I have always been wary of my own subjective observations, but it would 'appear' that I am observing an increase in HRT induced muscular atrophy. I'm seeing this in my shoulders and arms.

It's difficult to tell, but your advice is sound (I had forgotten about this) and appreciated.

I actually take 2/10ths less than is approved by my doctor because I feel overwhelmed by the max dose. I think thats why I responded.

I am actually thinking of switching to what you are taking because of cost but am having second thoughts now.   ???

Sincerely,
Kristina

Hi Rhonda.  Whenever I do my injection, I feel wiped out for the rest of the day.  As the week rolls on I gain more and more energy, so your observations are correct.  I just did my injection yesterday and went from megab***h (they ran out a bit early) to lathargic within the space of about an hour or 2.
