Hello everyone, I've already posted on another site of the forum but I fear i didn't get many responds for not having posted here. My name is Elle, I am 22 years old and have been transitioning since 17. I've already had full ffs with dr spiegel, as well as a breast augmentation with another doctor. I decided to have srs done within the next two months and I am going to thailand for it. I have narrowed my search down to Saran or Suporn which is ironic as suporn is twice the price of Saran. But I keep hearing wonderful things about Saran and I do feel Suporn's prices are overpriced for thai standards due to his 'popularity'. Ive also considered preecha in PAI, or chettawut, and have heard good and bad stories about them. I really need advice guys, who is the best to go to in Thailand, I don't want to feel like because Suporn is more expensive, he must deliver results that Saran or Chettawut can't.

Thank you

it's a personal thing, and surgeons have good and bad days, that said, price doesn't always equal quality.

suporn is generally a good surgeon, but has demanding aftercare (month in thailand).
preecha taught most of the other surgeons, he's ok but showing age.
saran has good reviews that i know of.
chett is also generally well reviewed (don't let the outdated website fool).

if i had to choose, would probably go with chett for quality to cost ratio.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

My understanding is Preecha doesn't do the hands on any more but has others do the work, I may be wrong but heard it on the grapevine recently.  Also don't forget Dr Sanguan in Phuket who does good work.

A month and half might be cutting it fine to make a decision and get a booking.

Hi Elle,
I went to dr. Suporn for the surgery and am very happy about the results. The care from dr. Suporn and the nurses as well as the clinic girls is second-to-none. Suporn also organizes trips every week so we could also do some sightseeing. Suporn is indeed more expensive than most other Thai surgeons but still cheaper than most US surgeons I think. He is widely regarded as one of the best surgeons in the world though and if you need any revision (cosmetic or not) it is carried out at no cost. There are many other surgeons in Thailand who have a good reputation too. Best of luck in making your decision.

Surgery is scheduled for December 20th, Dr. Suporn, :-) already booked both airline tickets, one for myself, one for my boyfriend. 3.1k in total EEEEK, I will say Suporn is no longer a 'lower priced surgeon' Dr Brassard quoted me 18k and from NY to Canada is only 300 for plane ticket in advance. On the other hand surgery with Suporn is 16.3k, plus at least 1.2k in airfare if you are going ALONE, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I did choose Suporn because I am very young, and he seems to offer the best results.

Hi elle,
Sounds like everything is going to plan, and you have a good surfeon booked. I'm really pleased you are taking your BF with you. I think having a S.O is imperative during these times. I'll print an extract from a message received from a very dear friend who has just transitioned in Thailand (late June)
"Thank you for giving me the chance to help some one. there are many in Bangkok, that are good. There re two that, in my opinion, really stand out as to their results. I received almost 7 inches of depth, by the PAI Clinic, Dr, Preecha. The main doctor that operated on me has magic in his hands, a Dr. Burin. PAI stands for Preecha Aesthetic institute in Bangkok. You can google it on the internet. The other is his best student a Dr, Supron, also in Bangkok I believe but you can also google him too. Those are the only one's I would reccomend "  My friend later had complications related to one of the stitches to the urethra causing a restriction to flow. Has now been rectified locally (USA) and some resemblance to normality is occurring.
I wish you every success in your upcoming procedure. May it release you into the person you were destined to be.
Be safe, well and happy
Lotsa luv
Catherine

I'm a Saran girl!  I have nothing but good wonderful things to say about Dr. Saran and his assistant Ying.  Dont be alarmed by Dr Sarans price, he is an altruist in every sense of the word, and wants to see as many girls transition as possible.  He is a prodigy of Dr. Preecha.  Dr. Saran is a very skilled and gifted surgeon and has probably the best bedside manner of any physician I've seen.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me.

I've heard the same thing that he only scrubs in and supervises a jr surgeon.

Does the 16k include accommodations for a month, or is that an additional bill on top of it?

The surgery is around $16k and accomodation is around $50 per night including breakfast. You will stay in the hospital for one week and the other 3 weeks in the hotel.
