I used to keep a list of baby names. Which is odd seeing as I've never ever wanted kids. The majority of the names were unisex. I had Maddox and Rowan and Avery and Eden and Cole. Never kept track of meanings, just pretty names.
I got my name by androgynizing/masculinizing my given name. Masculine, androgynous, or feminine, all the versions mean something having to do with youth. Which turns out to have a lot to do with how I see myself.
