Love does exist, even if it's just a chemical thing going on in our brains.  We all feel that love.  Interpersonal love is such a strong thing.  The love for your children, your brother or sister, parents, and close friends.  I had a friend and we both cared for each others' well being so much that it was bordering a romantic relationship, but it never did.  It was based on love.

True love in a totally romantic way?  Yes!  It just takes time to meet someone who you'll end up loving and they'll end up loving you in that way.  It seems to happen to almost everyone, though.  It's like everyone has a destined soul mate in this world, but we just have to find them.  Have hope for love, Jen-Jen. 

I want to believe. It's hard right now, love is hanging by a thread.

Feels like my whole life is falling apart. But hopefully, just maybe, love will conquer.

True so true!  Thank you zeldaheart I couldn't have said it better! Love does exist and is such a strong thing , the love I feel for her makes me feel like I'm going to explode! But my love for her is way diffrent than my love for family and friends, its way more! I do believe in soul mates I believe she is mine. I've had hope for love but its been 14 yrs you  would think she would get it by now! Its just hard you know!

I'm in the same boat with you! Its hard to believe and see it when your love is hanging by a thread! I too feel like my whole life is falling apart! Mine feels like I am on a cliff watching a whole major city(my life) in flames burning! There's nothing I can do but watch, there is not enough resources to put it out! Everything I know and have worked for is burning!

I absolutely believe in true love.  It may not be the first person you meet, it may not be the second or third - but somewhere, sometime I believe we all will meet our soul mate and be destined for true love.

Believe in fairytale love? No. Some days prince charming royally pisses me off. He's not always thrilled with my evil witch days either.

Love for me, right now, is about patience and hope. That hope is all that's keeping me going right now.

And who cares if it's just "a bunch of neurons?" Discovering how something works doesn't suddenly make it not real or not exist.

I believe in love. As was previously stated, even if its a chemical reaction in the brain, it's still a reality that people experience.

That being said, I don't think there's really such a thing as "unconditional love." If someone habitually treats me like ->-bleeped-<- even if I love them, I'm sure my feelings would change over time.

You would think so wouldn't you? Unfortunately, it's more complicated in practice. I still love my ex, for all she treated me like ->-bleeped-<-. At least I eventually grew enough sense to walk away. When they say love isn't enough, they really aren't kidding.

Being superficial, I have plenty of music on my ipod which lacks substance. I don't like indie rock or any of that whiny stuff. i like metal, pop and dance.
