Ayden

All of these posts gave me the happy this morning! :D I am glad so many folks have joys (large and small) in their lives.

I had another few things to add:

I successfully shaved my face without any cuts. (though, I am pre-t so I think that will change)
I got an A on my midterm presentation.
Got a new haircut, and I love it.
Got to watch wrestlemania with my partner. (yes, we are super geeky, but hey, some of those guys are sexy!)
Found a therapist that is willing to help me, even though she is not in my state.
Read an article that ended up being useless for my thesis, but it was hiliarious.
Get to go watch Captian America tonight with my partner and a few friends at the campus pub.
Last night while laying in bed, my partner rolled over and starting asking about what house I want to buy when we finally settle down. :D

Jeatyn- Congrats on your letter and your baby standing! I don't have kids, but I do have four little brothers, and I always got a kick out of watching them have that 'ah-ha!' moment. :)

Gnomekid - Legend of Zelda FTW! I am a huge gaming nerd too, though I will admit that the Zelda games (though I love them) tend to piss me off. (Water temple in Ocarina of Time Master Quest, anyone?)

Nygeel - I am really happy for you. The best response I ever got was 'I was wondering when you were going to tell me.' It's nice to feel that acceptance. I wish I had even one awesome co-worker!

Bancho- I am glad you have been able to stay close with your ex. I know if my partner and I split, it would kill me but I like to think we will always be best friends.

Emostache69 - Gotta love the grades! And be sure to give your lady props; we can be little difficult to put up with sometimes.

Solobear - I love baking too, though I always end up with too much! I actually wrote a paper two years ago on the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Glorious Revolution. I'm a total history nerd (good thing it's my major). The USSR is a really interesting point of study.

OrderOfOriah - I know the feeling, I still want to crack into a huge grin whenever my partner calls me Ayden. If it is when he has morning breath. ;)

Felix - I see house cleaning/purging as a big form of therapy. I sometimes get the urge and start tossing things out like mad. It's a great way to find things you thought you lost too! And yes, being productive is important. I am glad you got to feel that sense of accomplishment. Also, I am envious of your bunny slippers. All I have is funny colored socks. ;) (Also, I have no idea who to cook bamboo shoots, so I am in awe. I always end up with a ...something not tasty)

Morgan - Congrats man! Enjoy it!

Thomas - That is wonderful! It's good to know that even if the forums and communities are not geared toward topics like transfolks, that people can still be supportive.

N.Chaos - I love surprising my friends too. I picked out this wonderful sweater for my sweater-love friend. I can't wait until I can give it to her. It always makes you feel good to know that you made someone else happy, you know?

Darth_Taco - I am glad to know that I am not the only guy who loves Pokemon. Every time I boot up a new game in the original and the Prof asks what his grandson/my rival's name is I have to chuckle a little.

Matt - Nice on all counts! I can't wait to try my first interview in a suit and tie. :D

I know I didn't need to respond to people, but reading these first thing in the morning was an awesome way to start my day!

Aintza - I know the feeling! Waking up Joe every day makes me feel happy, even though I am a terrible morning person. I also like hammies, which is why I will never feed my them to my snake when he gets bigger. I will feed him gerbils. Gerbils hate me.

NatKat - It's wonderful to connect with old friends! I was able to talk to one of my old friends that I had not spoken to in years. It was great to be able to pick up conversation without any awkwardness and she really made my day. Congrats on the top surgery soon! I can't wait for mine.

Spacerace - It's nice to see people change and become more openminded. I wish someone would wake me up for breakfast! I always end up passing out on the couch in the morning if I don't suck down a few cups of coffee.

Wesley_33 - Dogs are fantastic. I am very fond of the older ones, they tend to be so sweet. My old dog was given to my family because he didn't could take of him anymore. I always loved that he seemed to know that he was loved with us, and he always knew exactly how to cheer me up.

Konnor - Isn't being independent nice? I left home when I was 16, but I feel like I am finally to the point where I can really enjoy supporting myself. My boy says sweet things to me too, even when I am being a complete ass. And yay for the new job working out! Starting new jobs is stresfull, but when one works out and starts off great, it's a good feeling.

I came out to my school counselor today. She told me how to go about getting a therapist and everything, and was super cool. I'm going to come out to my Mom next then get the ball rolling on my transition. Hopefully some time this weekend. Having an adult who listened to me and was supportive and interested in what I had to say was really awesome. So I'm stoked about that, and in a good confident mood. I'm not letting all the "What if's" of coming out to my Mom bog me down. :)

ForWantOf

Haha Ayden, you're one hell of a person to take the time out to reply to everyone, that's awesome!

I've been generally really happy lately, it's so nice. I have more energy, which is great because I'm always tired.
My birthday is next week and I'm excited for that for once, I got my first binder recently, and I passed as male for some reason at the eye doctor's the other day.  :)

This is a pretty cool topic.  8)

Uhm, let's see... What made me happy recently?

- Well, one of my guy friends - who I'm not out to - pretty much considers me a guy. He has this strict "no hitting girls" policy, to the point where I would tease him about it. His response: "One day, just you wait, one day, I'll see you as a man, and I'll punch you right in the arm." That day happened to be yesterday. He wasn't angry or anything - it was quite random, actually - and now he says that "technically" I'm not a girl. My other friends say that I'm only half a girl, and I'm not out to them either.

- My dad is starting to let go of the "sweetheart" nickname, although he still adds in unnecessary "she's" in general (ex: at a fast-food place, instead of just ordering the food, my dad would say "she would like this" or "my daughter would like to order this"). It's a start, though, so I'll accept it.  :P

- It's going to be cold tomorrow - well, cold for Florida - and cold weather makes me happy.

- I'm listening to music currently.

- I came out to my best friend, and although she's a bit... shocked (understatement) she assured me that she will always be there for me and that she supports me one hundred percent.   ;D

I met with a lawyer today (for custody and filing fee issues), and he asked me if I was getting my testosterone on the black market or if I actually had a prescription. Lol I'm not on T yet. His assuming I was made me smile.

Also I came out to one of my daughter's respite providers today. She's been watching my kid on certain weekends off and on for a couple years, so it was kind of important to me that she be supportive or at least tolerant. She had gotten sick with some kind of autoimmune disorder, so we'd been out of contact for months. Her reaction was "Yeah I already knew that. It was pretty obvious." Turns out she knew other trans people before me. Yay.

My parents told me that they've been saving up to help me when I get into pharmacy school.
I finished putting together all my graduation announcements.
I'm headed to a concert tomorrow with some friends.
I realized how long it has been since I've thought about hurting myself.
The one person I've been head over heels for just invited me to her wedding, and I realized that I'm completely over her and very happy for them.
I said 'screw it' in the shower this morning and kept my stubble.  Three days worth is definitely visible on me, and I've been happily feeling up my chin all day.
Everyone I've come out to has been 100% supportive.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

My cat. Sounds may dumb but he stops me from doing drugs and alcohol because I better stay sane to take care of him. I know what would happen to him if I wasn't around him.   Love of my life :)

Clive

I went to a short story writers' talk yesterday and saw a friend I hadn't seen in a long time - had the best time!

I'm going to see my best friend's burlesque show tonight :)

I reached Rock Bottom the other day and as a consequence have finally admitted to myself that I have a problem.  It happened when sat back and realised I'd downloaded and watched 'Stuart Little' and very much enjoyed it.  Folks, my name is Clive, and I'm addicted to Hugh Laurie.  So much so that I just watched a film about an animated mouse without shame or remorse.  I can only go upwards from here.  It'll be a long road, but I know I'll recover.  Already I've begun to wean myself off Blackadder III - I only watch four episodes a day.  I haven't watched any this morning, and my hands are only shaking a little.  I'm not even hallucinating yet.  I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

My 'Saturday Live' DVD just arrived from Amazon.  Some of the Fry & Laurie sketches are even funnier than 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie.'  Hugh Laurie is just so clever and funny and handsome and...

Dammit.
'And I thank you for those items that you sent me:
The monkey and the plywood violin.
I practiced every night, now I'm ready,
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin.'

My mum and my girlfriend were talking to each other about how much weight I've been losing lately.
And for the first time in about 2 weeks, I get to sleep in tomorrow  :)

Bradd - That's great that you had such a great reception from your school counselor! I'm glad to know that there are people out there who actually want to help and listen to younger people. I hope all goes well with your mother, and I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

ForWantOf - Happy early birthday! I hope you have a great time. :) I can't wait to get a binder that actually fits and works. I threw my last one in my last "gotta live as a woman" crisis. I have been kicking myself ever since.

NathanW - Being lazy once in a while is awesome, and having time to work on essays is a big plus. I seriously need to start my thesis... Ah well. I will get to it. Sometime.

Natkat - I love holiday foods, especially the desserts. Sadly, the last time I tried to make a chocolate mouse, it ended up looking like a pile of... yeah. Not so good. I was super happy that actually took the time to finish my costume this year! Though, it ended up looking better on my boy. I am going to out-do him next year though! ;)

Naoh James - If you like cold weather, you should head up north to Alaska. It's cold, we've gotten four inches of snow in two days, and it sticks around until March if we are lucky, and June if the weather decides to hate us. I agree though, I prefer the cold, I would melt in southern heat. Best friends rock my world; my childhood friend was super awesome when I told her. All she had to say was "yeah, I figured. I mean, you never really were a girl. I wondered if you would ever tell me." I also had a guy friend of mine come to me for advice. His reason: you're not really a girl, so it's cool.

Felix - I am glad your respite worker was so awesome. I have a friend who has respite care for her little girl, and it is important to have that support for parent and child. I hope your court issues go well! Your lawyer gets a smiley face on his report card. :P

Lee - All sorts of awesome. I hope your concert was fantasic. I cannot wait to have three day stuble and be able to do the chin stroke. Congrats on graduation too! I hope you enjoy pharmacy school; I used to be a technician in a pharmacy, and I wanted to go into pharmacy until I heard the stories from the boss! I can't do math anyway.

Patypoison - Not at all. Pets are fantastic therapy. I am sadly allergic to cats now that I am older, and I can't have a dog where I live, so I have a snake instead. He's not very good company; he doesn't snuggle, doesn't make any noise, and only really cares about me when he is hungry. Even so, he never has anything bad to say about me, and lets me hold him and talk to him.

Clive - Hugh Laurie? You would get along with my friend! She is also addicted. I think it is going to ruin her relationships one of these days. ;) The last burlesque show I went to was awesome and a little scary at the same time, but that was mostly because of the bar it was in. Think old pervy bar with terrible lighting and wood smoke smell.

Morgan - Congrats on the weight loss! I am trying to start getting in better shape so that when I start T, it will be easier to stay fit and not battle the weight issue along with changing hormones. It always makes it better when someone notices though. Enjoy sleeping in for me! I wish I could, but alas, life summons me.

I really don't know why in the world I made two posts. Silly me, I suppose.

Today's list so far:

It's Friday.
My new therapist was awesome to get me into an appointment on Monday, and didn't even question my gender over the phone despite my voice.
I woke up to being super-snuggled.
My snake decided to sneeze when I picked him up. He doesn't do it often, but it really is very funny sounding.
My guy friend told me I looked better in men's clothes.
I have a "date" with my friend to watch wrestling and have a few drinks.
I splurged and got a chai tea at the coffee shop, and it was perfect.

I had a dream about being a bio guy. Happy!  ;D

Ayden

Had a simliar dream a few nights ago! Although, the main objective in the dream was to build a shrine shaped like a car made out of legos. ...Okay, so the guy part was awesome. Having make a car out of legos that were shaped like tetraminos was not so fun.

I think my voice is already starting to drop from T.. hope it's not just wishful thinking, but I'm not the only person who's noticed it.. so that's promising :D
