Alright,
This year I tried renting some of the ones from the prior year, that I had not seen yet. Would I add any on to my all time favorites. If I did Texas Chainsaw the Beginning would be the best one I saw in October. Even having seen quite a few movies in the chainsaw series, this one is my favorite one so far with the best story and action.
An American Haunting not really scary. Reminded me more like Sleepy Hollow, or The Village. It was an ok movie though I wanted the ghosts to be more violent, and more action. It was more of a lesson type story. Not as scary as 13 Ghosts, Poltergeist, or even House on Haunted Hill (1999). No one dies.
Amityville Horror (2005) I definately enjoyed more than the original and movies that followed. Original was a little eirie but not that scary. I think this version had more creepy moments, action, haunting effects, better sound, and even better story. Though I wouldnt vote this as one of my all times favorites, it was a good overall movie.
Feast I was very impressed with this movie, not expecting much (being the product of Project Greenlight). This is a good creature feature along the lines of Alien sort of , yet mixes in some redneck humor almost like Tremors, and somewhat like Army of Darkness. The speed of the monsters and them appearing out of nowhere is what will make you jump in this movie. And them doing stuff you might not expect. This one is a good rental. A mixture of Action, creatures, gore, and some humor.
Masters of Horror: Takashi Miike "Imprint" if you liked Hellraiser or Miike's first movie Audition, this is more of what you will like. I started asking myself at the beginning "Why did they ban this from showtime..." then a few minutes later I said "Ohh....Ohhhhhh ok thats why". Has torture that will make you squirm and images of abortions that I think anyone considering an abortion should be made to watch this first. Nudity, graphic images. The movie does run as a series of flashbacks. And the expression "talk to the hand" will seem a little different after watching this. One of my favorite this year from a director that I have come to like the last 2 years.
Omen 666 It was ok. Basically I felt it just retold the original movie. Nothing new or really different stands out.
In the theater we watched Texas Chainsaw the Beginning. My favorite chainsaw movie of them all. I felt was better than the preceeding remake (which I thought was really good). I felt this kept the action, gore, and horrific murder scenes, yet added a very good storyline to the movie (which suprised me)(which is something all the others almost entirely lack).
Speaking of Hellraiser earlier. I rewatched some of the movies that were played on cable TV. By far my favorite parts of the series are Hellbound: Hellraiser II especially when they open the door to hell and go there ; and in Hellraiser IV when they tell in the past the toy maker story.
For a movie few know about that is great to see is Dog Soldiers (2002). A scottish twist on Werewolves that is sure to please most fans of Horror. I really liked this movie.

Tinkerbell,
I will add it to my list. Sounds interesting.
