Lately I've found myself uninterested in both sexes. Has anyone else dealt with this before? I'm not sure if it's because I haven't transitioned yet, or it's just the state I'm currently in, but I just can't find myself to be attracted to anyone.

I've been that way for years and years and years, more so before transition. I don't consider it a real issue outside of the occasional lonely feeling that generally doesn't last too long. Some people have given me grief over the fact that I simply don't wish to fool with dating or anything like that currently, but I suppose they don't get that sometimes, some people just don't need the same things in their life as they do.

I'm in the same boat as you, and I attribute it to not having transitioned yet. I think somewhere I know that whatever would happen now would be pointless as it would end very soon anyway, and it's affecting my attraction to people.

I don't particularly mind it though, it saves me from the doom-thinking that is being lonely and wanting to be with someone but being unable to. Simply not being attracted to anyone in the first place is a bit easier to deal with lol

It's happened to me quite a few times, actually. But really, I don't plan on dating until I start HRT and everything, because I don't want a significant other to see me as a guy, because I've learned through experience that being seen as a guy in a relationship is the most awkward thing ever.

Very good points! I suppose it's a sub-conscious thing.

Also, that is also something I don't want, toxicblue. My last few relationships ended because of that.

I'm nearing four months into my transition and am uninterested in either.  To be honest, I love it.

Asexuality is a genuine sexual orientation, just as heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality are. There's nothing wrong with it, so you don't have to worry, unless you actually want to pursue sexual and/or romantic relationships.

As the saying goes...Quite often when your looking you can't find anyone...Get out of yourcomfort zone and go online dating. Not to get a dte but there are options to 'find friendship' or 'companionship'. Try this and you will find that ppl are happy t be just friends.Then you can spring off that to find a date,friend of a friend,met at party or the like.Look outside the square.

I definitely do want a relationship. I've planned my marriage since I was like really really young. But, right now I just seem to not be attracted to either sex. I hope that'll change when I get on hrt, and have a clearer idea of where I'm going.
